Val Kilmer has joined the cast of the drama
Dark Matter, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
He will join Meryl Streep and Chinese actress Liu Ye ("The Promise") in the story of a Chinese exchange student who takes revenge after her hopes for a Nobel Prize are wrecked by internal school politics.
Opera director Chen Shi-Zheng will direct in his feature film debut.
