Susanne Bier is set to direct 18th century love story
The Duchess, says the Hollywood Reporter.
The feature is based on Amanda Foreman's biography 'Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire'. It tells the story of Georgiana Spencer, a media celebrity of her time known for dabbling in alcohol and drugs.
The movie will focus on the menage a trois involving her, her husband and his live-in mistress, which leads Spencer to pursue true love with politician Charles Grey. The public affair threatened to destroy her marriage and reputation.
