Faye Dunaway will co-star with Jennifer Tilly and Damien Chapa in low-budget feature "El Padrino" ("The Young Father"), which Chapa will direct.
"El Padrino" begins lensing this week in Los Angeles, with Chris Chanowski and Chuck Binder onboard as producers and Troy Barker exec producing.
"El Padrino" tells the story of a young Mexican-American man who is thrust into the world of drug dealing, masters it, then later questions his own role in a culture where corruption exists at the governmental level as well.
Chapa and Dunaway co-starred in "The Calling," which Chapa also directed. Chapa has helmed such pics as Warner Bros.' "Under Siege" and Universal's "Streetfighter."
