Chase Palmer is to write and direct the adaptation of Focus Feature's historical biography
Evolution's Captain, says the Hollywood Reporter.
The feature, based on the book by Peter Nichols, revolves around Robert FitzRoy, the captain of the HMS Beagle, and the relationship the two developed. The book was published in 2003 by HarperCollins.
The movie will trace the two men's 30-year relationship and their debate over the theory of evolution.
