What does it matter? You don't have to watch it...do you go online seeking out movies with a different moral judgement than yours? One of the best combinations of Horror and Comedy and there has never been another movie like this. If Sam does another Evil Dead its going to ROCK! Screw bringing in someone to remake it. Yes! Bring Back Buce! All you can improve by remaking the evil dead is better special effects, but really, does that even matter? Isn't the movie world full of expensive special effects in crap-upon-crap movies. My nine-year-old is already jaded. You will NEVER DO BETTER than Bruce Campbell in the lead. He is the largest part of the appeal of the original. Plus, the entire remainder of the appeal is that dedicated, talented people made a movie where writing, acting, directing, editing, etc. mean something. Big Sam aught not to forget that. It is why Xena, Hercules, Jack of All Trades, Lunatics: A Love Story, et al. are still so appealing. I don't care if Sam Raimi is a sellout. Hey, he's made some really great movies, and it seems he will continue to do so. Yes, there is a HUGE Army Of Darkness/Evil Dead/ Bruce Campbell following that is just dying to see the next movie in the Evil Dead series...I am one of them. This (future, hopefully...) movie will either be made by the collaboration of Sam Raimi (and I believe one of his brothers) and Bruce Campbell or it won't. It would be a shame to not have the next movie made, but things will only be what they will be.
