Adam Friedman Takes On 'A Fine Dark Line'

A Fine Dark Line
Adam Friedman has bought the movie rights to Joe R. Lansdale's best-selling novel A Fine Dark Line, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The feature, also helmed by Friedman, is the coming-of-age story of Stanley Mitchell, a young boy consumed by the contents of an old tin box that caries the secrets of a small town's past.

"This book is so close to my heart. I will direct it, or it won't get made," Friedman said, likening the story to 'Stand by Me' but with a ghost story twist.
