Paramount Classics Takes Jay-Z's 'Fade To Black'

Fade to Black
Paramount Classics has bought the rights of hip-hop star Jay-Z's documentary Fade to Black, says the Hollywood Reporter.

The feature, directed by Pat Paulson and Michael John Warren, focuses on the rise of Shawn Carter, aka Jay-Z, and specifically on his November concert that earned a street rep as a once-in-a-lifetime event.

The film also takes a look at the recording process of Jay-Z's 'Black Album', which the rapper has said is his last musical outing, as well as looking at the star's background. The documentary is scheduled for a November 5th release.
