Jerry Lewis's Comedy 'Family Jewels' Gets Remake

Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Films are to remake the 1965 Jerry Lewis comedy Family Jewels, according to Variety.

Writers Abdi Nazemian and Micah Schraft have been hired to write the project, which has been in development for several years, centers on an orphaned rich girl who must choose between relatives fighting for custody of her while discovering that her chauffeur is also her best friend.

In the original Family Jewels, Lewis played seven parts, including the chauffeur/bodyguard of a 9-year-old girl and all six uncles.
