Mike Mitchell (
Sky High) has signed on to direct the comedy
Fred Claus for Jessie Nelson who is producing, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Nelson will also receive a "story by" credit.
Fred Claus follows Fred, the jealous older brother of Santa, who must put his bitterness aside when he is forced to move into Santa's home at the North Pole.
