The original "Family Values" Conservative Sex Scandals thread has mysteriously disappeared, so I have started a new one.

This particular post is a follow-up to an incident I reported in July of 2020.

Pastor Francis Hughes was sentenced to five years in prison by U.S. District Judge Philip M. Halpern for his receipt of images of child pornography from a 15-year-old minor in Westchester, New York with whom he was engaging in sexually explicit text communications. Hughes pled guilty on August 16, 2022 before Judge Halpern.

On February 16th 2020, Huges communicated by text messages with a 15-year-old boy. During the course of the text communications, the boy sent Hughes three images of his penis. Upon receiving one of the images, Hughes responded,"Yummmmm I will suck you so much" and "Make you cum." During the communications, Hughes told the boy that he was a part-time college professor and a counselor.

An East Texas pastor has been arrested on accusations of indecency with a child. Timothy Nall, 68, of Hollylake Ranch was booked Monday into the Smith County Jail on a charge of indecency with a child by sexual contact. Charges were brought forth by Wood County, according to online jail records. Nall is the pastor at Mt. Pigsah Baptist Church in Mineola.

This is not the first time Nall has faced charges regarding sexual crimes against children. In June 2013, Nall was charged with sexual battery against a teen girl, while serving as the pastor of Farmington Baptist Church in Corinth, Mississippi.

In September 2014, he was indicted for sexual battery and fondling based on allegations he used his finger to penetrate a 6-year-old child. Nall remains in the Smith County Jail.

A 33-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man was sentenced Tuesday to seven years in prison for inappropriately touching a child while he was a counselor at a Christian camp. Remington J. Nystrom pleaded no contest to a charge of second-degree sexual assault of a child on April 12th, which was the day he was scheduled to go to trial.

The charge was reduced from a charge of first-degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 13.

The case stems from a report made to the attorney general's clergy and faith leader abuse initiative, according to the Wisconsin Department of Justice. The statewide initiative investigates clergy and faith leaders accused of sexual abuse.

A minister and Christian school teacher in Ventura County has been charged with multiple felony counts of child abuse, including accusations that he tried to meet up with a 15-year-old girl for sex.

Barry Fike, 67, of Fillmore was arrested on Monday following an investigation by the Ventura County Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force. Fike, a minister at Fillmore Church of Christ, pleaded not guilty to all charges during his arraignment Wednesday.

"The conversations were sexual in nature and Fike shared explicit photos of himself with the victim, who was actually an undercover officer," the Ventura County District Attorney's Office said in a news release.

Fike is being held in custody with bail set at $150,000, according to the Ventura County District Attorney's Office. The Fillmore resident previously taught at Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village for nearly 11 years.

Fike also taught at Pepperdine University but "is not currently an instructor at the university," according to the Ventura County District Attorney's Office. Pepperdine University spokesperson Michael Friel confirmed that Fike last taught at the school in December 2021.

In an ironic twist, Fike shared a social media post by Charlie Kirk, suggesting that the "liberal media" is "attacking" the film Sound of Freedom, because it purports to expose child sex trafficking.

The Chair of Alliance for a Pro-Life Alabama has been charged with sexual abuse of a child less than 12, according to court records.

Cole Wagner, 32, of Montgomery was arrested Wednesday on the charge. He was arrested by the Montgomery County sheriff's department, according to the warrant. His bond was set at $60,000.

A Montgomery County grand jury indicted Wagner on June 30th. The indictment says Wagner subjected another person less than 12 to sexual contact. The charge is a Class B felony, which can carry a sentence of two years to 20 years in prison.

A youth pastor of a Patoka church pleaded guilty Thursday in Fayette County Court to five of ten felony charges stemming from his involvement in a child pornography ring in Vandalia.

Ferrell Kissiar, an assistant pastor at the Pentecostal Church in Patoka, was sentenced to a total of 30 years in prison after various consecutive sentences were handed down in the plea agreement.

He was arrested in 2021 along with a Vandalia husband and wife, Amber and Andrew Wehrle, in connection with the pornography ring and abuse charges. Amber Wehrle was sentenced earlier this year to 13 years in prison while her husband was sentenced to 26 years.

Court of King's Bench Justice Kevin Feth accepted a joint sentencing submission from the Crown and defence and sentenced Brad Dahr, 56, to four years in prison for sexual exploitation and one year for making child pornography. According to an agreed statement of facts, the pastor ran a mental health outreach program for young adults and asked a teenage member of the church's congregation in 2017 to co-preach a sermon series with him.

They started exchanging sexual messages and Dahr suggested they switch between messaging platforms to avoid being discovered. Dahr had sex with the girl, whose identity is protected by a court-ordered publication ban, and they exchanged intimate photos and videos of themselves.

Mormon bishop Shawn Gooden of Palmyra has pleaded guilty to four sexual assault charges involving a child less than 14 years old.

The incidents happened between 1997 and 2000, from the time the victim was 9-years-old until the age of 13. Detectives say Gooden also assaulted another victim from the time the child was 8-years-old until the age of 12. Police in Virginia say these were not random victims, and they were already in Gooden's life prior to the dates of the assaults.

Gooden was a Boy Scouts leader, an LDS church leader, and a lawyer with a Harrisburg law firm.

The executive director of Full Count Ministries is facing child sex crime charges following an investigation by the Hendersonville Police, who said they began investigating 40-year-old Jacob R. Oldham on July 15th.

Oldham was arrested and charged with two counts of soliciting sexual exploitation of a minor, according to Hendersonville Police. According to court records, Oldham is being held on a $5 million bond and remains at the Sumner County Jail. He is set to appear in Sumner County General Sessions Court on August 4th.

A 76-year-old pastor is accused of exposing himself to a nine-year-old girl on July 21st. According to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office arrest report, the victim and her family were at a community pool in Wesley Chapel. As the girl was swimming nearby the suspect, Allen Farabee, had exposed his genitals and placed them in his hand in front of her. The victim explained she saw Farabee touching himself, and that he exposed himself five times.

During the investigation, Farabee was observed through surveillance footage putting goggles on and going underwater, facing the victim. The video showed the suspect going underwater at the same time as the young girl multiple times. According to the affidavit, he was arrested the day prior for similar allegations at the same pool. He later admitted to being an exhibitionist, being excited in the pool, and exposing his genitals multiple times.

A pastor is accused of sex crimes after an incident at the Piedmont Triad Farmer's Market in Colfax on Sandy Ridge Road. Ivan Hugh-McDonald Peden, 71, is charged with taking indecent liberties with children, indecent exposure to a person under 16, sexual battery, and secret peeping. The crimes happened on June 24th and July 14th and Peden was charged on Wednesday. He is accused of trying to get into the stall while the child kept the door closed.

A Catholic priest faces charges of sexual offences involving a youth following an investigation by police. According to the Peterborough Police Service, the investigation led to the arrest of a man on Wednesday.

Neil Pereira, 33, of Peterborough was charged with sexual assault and two counts of sexual interference. Pereira was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Peterborough on August 8th.

Police note sexual interference is when a person, for a sexual purpose, touches, directly or indirectly, with a part of the body or with an object, any part of the body of a person under the age of 16 years.

A Thompson Township pastor was sentenced to two years in prison Friday morning for sexually abusing his daughters. Dennis Laferty plead guilty to two counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of sexual imposition June 22nd.

Laferty, 37, was indicted following an investigation by detectives into allegations of sexual abuse involving minors between November 30th 2019 and January 30th 2020. Laferty is the pastor at the Thompson United Methodist Church.

Kyle Robinson, 30, an associate pastor at First Baptist Church of Indialantic was arrested July 28th on 2 felony counts of child molestation charges. He is currently out on $30,000 bond. Kyle is a graduate of the Christian-based Liberty University with a Bachelor's of Christian Ministry.

Child Protective Services coordinated with West Melbourne Police and conducted a controlled call between the victim and Robinson. He became suspicious that the victim was not alone and asked that he Facetime with him to prove he was alone which the victim refused.

Robinson repeatedly expressed the importance of not telling anyone about the abuse, as it would result in him going to prison for a long time, and that it is in the past so they should just "move on" from it.

Convicted of sexually assaulting children in the mid-1990s, church group leader Michael Baxter will be 73 years old when he will be eligible for parole from prison. Jackson County Circuit Judge Thomas Wilson sentenced Baxter, 48, to serve 25 to 40 years in prison Thursday, August 3rd before a court packed with victims and their family members.

He was on trial on five counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct after being accused of sexually assaulting several children, ages 10 and 15, from 1996 to 2013. Baxter was a youth group leader from 1997 to 2001 at Church of Christ, 1341 Horton Road. The 25 to 40 year sentence is above Baxter's recommended sentencing guidelines of 10 to 25 years.

Several men have accused Scott Owen, co-owner of Canyon Counseling and regional leader of the Provo-area stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of sexual misconduct.

Owen built a reputation over his 20-year career as a therapist with "Christian values" who could help Mormon men with "same-sex attraction." He gave public lectures so often about pornography and masturbation that he had earned the nickname "The Porn King."

The victim, who is being identified as "Andrew" to protect his privacy, alleges that for five months beginning in October 2015, the clinical mental health counselor groped him, encouraged him to undress, and kissed him during sessions. Andrew said Owen told him that the touching was a therapeutic way to learn how to accept love and intimacy.

Andrew had reported Owen to both his bishop and to state licensing officials. A new investigation shows how Utah licensers allowed Owen to continue practicing, and church leaders repeatedly heard concerns but took no action.

For nearly two years after Andrew's report, Owen provided therapy to clients, some of whom were men referred for "same-sex attraction counseling." During that time, at least three more patients allege they were sexually abused by Owen, including two who reported him to the state licensing body in 2018. Those reports ultimately led Owen to agree to surrender his license.

A pastor with Camino Church in Charlotte faces 14 charges involving sex crimes against children, dating back to the 2000s, Charlotte police said. Investigators said there may be more victims who have not yet come forward. The children were between 9 and 15 years old at the time, police said.

Robert "Bobby" Price, 56, is already a registered sex offender after a 2014 conviction for indecent liberties with a minor. He was arrested Friday morning.

Price is currently an associate pastor at Camino Church in Charlotte, police said. He is accused of crimes dating back to 2001 to 2011, when he was a youth pastor at Kings Way Baptist Church in Concord. Price served 16 months in prison after his 2014 conviction on similar charges.

A youth pastor accused of child sexual abuse is facing a slew of felony charges. 31-year-old Dakota Kennemer is a youth pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Twin Falls. He is being investigated for an inappropriate relationship with a minor between the years of 2019 and 2022.

According to court documents, the pastor and three deacons met with Kennemer to address the allegations in December 2022, and he admitted to sexually touching the victim. Police obtained a search warrant and seized some of Kennemer's possessions and found explicit photos of the victim.

A Kings Mountain woman who served as a youth leader at a church has been charged with felony child sexual offenses, according to Kings Mountain Police.

Amanda Buchanan Justice, of Phifer Road, was arrested Thursday. Justice turned herself in to Kings Mountain Police on Thursday without incident, and was transported to the Cleveland County Magistrate's Office where she received a $20,000 bond.

By Thursday afternoon, she had posted bail, and was released. Justice was well known in the faith community, and was not only a member of New Life Family Worship Center on Oak Grove Road, but served as a youth leader for the No Compromise Youth Ministry.

A Cape Coral church deacon has been arrested for sexually assaulting a child when she was 8 years old. Cape Coral police arrested 53-year-old Brian Patsy Rogolino, Thursday.

According to police, on January 18th, the victim told school staff that eight years ago, she was touched inappropriately by Deacon Brian Rogolino of the Church of Jesus Christ.

An investigation revealed Rogolino performed sex acts on the victim without her consent. Rogolino is being charged with two counts of sexual battery on a child 12 years or younger. He has since been transported to the Lee County jail with no bond.

An investigation has found that in at least six cases, the Roman Catholic archbishop of New Orleans, Gregory Aymond, ignored credible sexual abuse allegations against priests and deacons, and concealed them from the public.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia will pay $3.5 million to settle a lawsuit alleging that one of its priests sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy in Delaware County nearly two decades ago.

Filed in 2020, the lawsuit alleges that Pastor John Close raped the boy at St. Katherine's of Siena in Wayne in 2006. The plaintiff, whose name was withheld in court filings, was attending a Confraternity of Christian Doctrine program there, and Close was the head of the parish.

During a class, the boy became upset, fearing eternal damnation. He was sent to Close's office, the pastor took his confession, and then raped him, according to the lawsuit. Afterward, the lawsuit says, Close told the boy that he was absolved of his sins, but he would be eternally damned if he told anyone about the assault.

Utah County sheriff's investigators say Hamblin forced her to perform oral sex on his then wife, Rosie. The probable cause affidavit is extremely graphic and states that the woman described one incident where she was being taught by Rosie and David how to perform oral sex on a female.

The victim in this case told investigators the sexual abuse began when she was 6 years old until she was 12 or 13 years old.

A priest will be headed to prison after taking a minor from South Carolina to Florida with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, according to the Attorney General's Office.

Father Jamie Adolfo Gonzalez-Farias, 68, of Laurens pleaded guilty in federal court to transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

Authorities say Gonzalez-Farias admitted that he took a minor victim from South Carolina to Florida with the intent to commit lewd and lascivious molestation.

U.S. Judge Mary Geiger Lewis accepted the guilty plea and will sentence Gonzalez-Farias after receiving and reviewing a sentencing report. The charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years and a maximum penalty of life in prison, plus fines and restitution.

Someone summoned the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department to the Somers Walmart early Thursday morning, August 10th. The person saw a fully-naked white male standing next to a black truck who appeared to be masturbating.

A youth pastor at a Fowler church is headed to jail for just under two months after pleading guilty to lesser charges connected to the sexual assault of a child.

An investigation into 46-year-old Gabe Geringer began in 2018 when a victim came forward. According to the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office, Geringer was originally charged with felony sexual assault on a child and a pattern of sexual assault on a child in connection to a sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl that began in 2010.

He was arrested in the Philippines in February and extradited to the U.S. where he eventually pleaded guilty. Stiger came under investigation in February 2022 when a victim came forward. She alleged that Stiger sexually abused her as a child between 2009 and 2015 while Stiger acted as a Sunday school teacher.

A teacher at Bishop Luers High School pleaded guilty Wednesday to child seduction following allegations that he had sex with multiple students. Jordan Miller entered a guilty plea on two counts of child seduction, a Level 5 felony.

If a judge accepts Miller's guilty plea, the 33-year-old would serve four years of probation. An eight-year prison sentence would be suspended, and two Level 6 felony counts of child seduction would be dropped.

Miller gave multiple high school girls his personal phone number in 2018, leading to sexual encounters with three students, documents said. None of the victims knew about each other's relationships with Miller until the first victim was about to come forward.

The pastor of a West Side church was charged Thursday with two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child for incidents four years ago in which a girl who was then 10-years-old said he touched her improperly during a day camp that was held at the church.

Todd Baldwin, a staff member at Valley Christian Schools in San Jose, was arrested on August 17th, 2023 for possession and distribution of explicit digital media involving juveniles, according to the San Jose Police Department.

A Central Georgia man is accused of trying to sell a teenage girl on the dark web. Kelly Garrett Ivey was indicted in Jasper County on August 14th. On August 31, 2023: Cory J. Herthel, 40, of Green Bay, Wisconsin pled guilty to attempted sexual exploitation of a minor, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2251(a).

Herthel will receive a federal prison sentence of at least 15 years when he is sentenced on December 4, 2023. He will also be required to register as a sexual offender under state and federal law.

According to a plea agreement filed in the case, in May of 2023, the Federal Bureau of Investigation was contacted by the church where Herthel was employed as a pastor regarding information it had obtained indicating that Herthel had been involved in an inappropriate sexual relationship with a minor living in Venezuela.

An ensuing investigation revealed that Herthel sent the child videos of himself masturbating, and at Herthel's request, the minor sent similar videos and images to the pastor.

Herthel acknowledged knowing the minor from a mission trip he had taken to Ecuador, where he met the child begging on the streets. The child and the child's mother had returned to their native Venezuela, and Herthel kept in touch with the child.

Herthel was confronted with images of him masturbating and acknowledged sending the videos to the child whom he knew to be a minor.

Herthel was also asked about sexually explicit images and masturbation videos that the child sent him. He acknowledged asking the child for the images and videos. He also acknowledged sending the child monetary payments via various online applications.

A priest in the Syracuse Catholic Diocese has been charged with forcibly touching a minor over several years, deputies said. Reverebd Nathan Brooks, 36, of LaFayette is accused of touching the minor between 2019 and 2021 in the town of Homer and in the city of Cortland.

Brooks is an administrator at the Church of the Nativity at St. Joseph in LaFayette, Immaculate Conception in Pompey, St. Leo in Tully, and St. Patrick Mission in Otisco.

Brooks was charged with forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child, and third-degree sex abuse; all misdemeanors, deputies said. The diocese in July agreed to pay $100 million to sex abuse survivors as part of a bankruptcy settlement.

Aide to former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was arrested this month for paying for a photo of a 6-year-old girl being sexually abused. Kevin Tomafsky, 41, was nabbed August 15th after a grand jury indicted him in July on multiple child sexual abuse charges.

Tomafsky had been under investigation since October 2022, when Snapchat reported the uploading of child sex abuse to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which was then sent to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's office.

Tomafsky's latest string of jobs included legislative director for Republican Assemblyman Sam Fiocchi, and president of the Washington Township Republican Club, while also working on several Republican political campaigns. He was working at an undisclosed government job until Friday, when he resigned.

Tomafsky is charged with engaging in sexual conduct with a child, conspiracy to endanger the welfare of a child, permitting a child to engage in pornography, and the procession of child pornography.

A Superior Court judge authorized a search warrant of the home Tomafsky shares with his mother. The search was conducted on December 14th 2022, and an examination of devices belonging to him revealed his possession of 1,000 items of child sexual abuse materials.

Three sources say that another man charged with Tomafsky was the victim's father; both are Washington Township residents. Tomafsky is currently being held at the Salem County Correctional Facility in Mannington.

Delfino R. O'Day-Figueroa was convicted by a jury in July following a three-day trial. Jurors deliberated for about three hours before finding him guilty of repeated sexual assault of the same child, involving at least three violations, according to online court records.

The youth minister of a Floyd County church faces up to 40 years in prison after entering a guilty plea to child molestation charges on Tuesday.

When Austin Wray Perkins was arrested on March 9th 2022, as part of a sting targeting child pornography, a release from the Floyd County Police Department stated that he was victimizing a minor who was living at his home, and Perkins was also creating explicit videos.

Perkins, 26, pleaded guilty in a non-negotiated plea to one count of felony child molestation and one count of felony sexual exploitation of children in Floyd County Superior Court. Both charges carry the potential of 20 years in prison and each have a five-year mandatory minimum sentence.

Perkins served as the youth minister at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church when he was arrested. "The child had no family or support and had been taken in by Perkins for care," Floyd County Police Department Sargeant Chris Fincher said.

"The juvenile who was rescued by police was living with Perkins who was coaching the child about how to act in videos, and also engaging in acts of child molestation." Fincher added that he would be reaching out to other children Perkins had contact with to see if any other charges would be filed.

Perkins was part of a child porn sex sting, called Operation Spring Cleaning, that netted five other arrests.

A Catholic priest from New Orleans, who secretly admitted to church leaders that he sexually harassed and molested numerous children, is now facing criminal charges. State prosecutors in New Orleans obtained an indictment charging Lawrence Hecker, 91, on Thursday with aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated crime against nature, and theft.

The crime occurred at a church attached to a Catholic high school where Hecker worked in 1975, when the accuser was either a 15-year-old child, according to the victim's civil attorney, Richard Trahant.

The accuser recalls that Hecker approached him under the guise of showing him a wrestling move, choked him unconscious, and sodomized him, Trahant said. Trahant said his client and the victim's mother reported it to the school at the time, but nothing was done.

An arrest was made of Jonathan Shaheen, a Colorado Springs church pastor and music teacher, on the charge of sexual exploitation of a child by the Colorado Springs Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children unit on Thursday.

The CSPD ICAC unit was contacted on Wednesday by the Colorado Springs FBI office with information about Shaheen and his communications with a couple in New Mexico who were said to be exploiting children, according to CSPD. The 30-year-old was arrested on the 5200 block of Stirrup Point.

Authorities say a Sumter County church deacon has been arrested after sharing an obscene photograph with a church youth group member. The Sumter County Sheriff's Office said 77-year-old Maxell Navar Bohn, II of Sumter was charged with disseminating obscene material to a person under 18.

The charge stems from an incident that the victim's father told investigators happened to his child, a member of a youth group at Alice Drive Baptist Church.

According to the sheriff's office, the father contacted law enforcement after someone sent a nude picture to the minor's mobile phone. Investigators determined that Bohn sent the photograph.

A 28-year-old pastor and athletic director pleaded guilty Monday in Jefferson County Court to one of two felony charges of child grooming.

Garrett Biggerstaff, who was a pastor at the time for Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Fairfield, was arrested in January in two separate cases accusing him of child grooming.

During a final pretrial Monday, Biggerstaff entered into a plea agreement with the state, and filed an open plea of guilty in one case in exchange for the other case being dismissed. An open plea of guilty does not come with a sentencing agreement. He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 19th.

A Coldwater man has been charged with two counts of fourth degree criminal sexual conduct by Branch County Prosecuting Attorney Zach Stempien as the result of sexual contact with a minor on or about September 1, 2017.

30-year-old Daniel McFeters was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday in Branch County District Court. McFeters was a worker at the Coach Eby Youth and Family Center at the time of the offense.

According to Branch County, McFeters had sexual contact with a child between 13 and 16 years old while he was walking the victim home after an event at the Christian center.

An East Aurora man who worked as a youth pastor has admitted to a child porn charge following a 2019 incident at Darien Lake. In July of that year, the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of New York's office says Nathan Rogers, 39, set up iPhones in his camper to secretly record a minor changing her clothes.

"Shortly after setting up the phones, Rogers invited the minor victim to change out of her bathing suit in his camper," the U.S. Attorney's office said. "She agreed and, as she changed, the iPhones recorded nude images." In December 2020, Rogers was sentenced to six months in jail, and five years in prison after pleading guilty to unlawful surveillance in Genesee County Court.

After review his devices in this case, the FBI recovered 24,017 pictures and 2,389 videos of child sexual abuse material, which led to federal charges in April 2021. Rogers will be sentenced for those charges on December 13th.

A Banning church faculty member was behind bars Wednesday on suspicion of inappropriate acts with a child, police announced.

Nicholas Garrett Corl, 26, was being held in lieu of $1 million bail at Banning's Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility. He was booked on suspicion of felony lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age.

Corl, who has no documented convictions in Riverside County, has served at the church for two years, and most recently held the title of Summit Youth Pastor. The Michigan transplant is married and played basketball for West Coast Baptist College.

The Marion County County Sheriff's Office arrested a pastor after two underage girls described the sexual abuse they endured at his hands.

Sheriff's deputies arrested Derrell Redding, 54, of Ocala on Wednesday after two girls gave detailed reports at the Kimberly Center of the many instances of abuse they faced.

Redding is charged with two counts of sexual battery of a child under the age of 12, a count of sexual battery of a teenager under the age of 18, and lewd and lascivious battery of a child more than 12 and less than 16.

A priest with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles has been charged with possession of child pornography, according to the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.

Rodolfo Martinez-Guevara, 38, of Long Beach possessed more than 600 images of child sexual abuse material, including pictures and videos of minors under 12, officials said. Martinez-Guevara is a member of the Missionaries of the Holy Spirit and is associated with several churches, including Our Lady of Guadalupe in Oxnard.

He was under investigation after several reports were made to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, officials said. Investigators later determined that Martinez-Guevara was in possession of the images, which mostly included boys.

33-year-old Tyler Selby appeared in U.S. District Court in Gulfport on Tuesday before Judge Robert Myers for an initial hearing.

Jason R. Moore, 43, of Milton, Florida was sentenced to sixty years in federal prison after pleading guilty to two counts of Illicit Sexual Conduct in Foreign Places.

The sentence was announced by Jason R. Coody, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

Moore engaged in Illicit Sexual Conduct in Foreign Places from March 2013 through February 2016. Specifically, Moore engaged in these crimes in the Republic of Fiji.

Moore was arrested by Special Agents from the Department of Homeland Security and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in Santa Rosa County in late 2022 after victims of Moore's crimes came forward regarding their sexual abuse.

Moores prison sentence will be followed by a Lifetime of supervised release. He will also be required to register as a sex offender and be subject to all sex offender conditions.

Moore molested multiple children under the age of 12 while on mission trips in Canada, Fiji, and the United States.

William Keith Dodd, the pastor of Lewark Church of God, has been charged with two counts of rape of a minor. His first appearance in Montgomery County Court was Friday.

Court documents say Dodd raped a 12 or 13 year old two times between January 1st and September 11th of this year. He was arrested after an investigation by the Coffeyville Police Department.

A Round Rock pastor was sentenced to 70 months in prison and 10 years probation for an enhanced charge of possession of child pornography, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office of the Western District of Texas.

David Lloyd Walther, 57, was a pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Round Rock when he was arrested in 2022. He was sentenced in a federal court in Austin on Wednesday, the release said. A judge also ordered him to pay $61,000 in restitution.

When authorities searched his home and car in November 2022, they found two large computer hard drives containing more than 100,000 images and more than 5,000 videos of child sexual abuse material.

Matthew Bryan Thilges, 60, of House Springs has been sentenced to seven years in prison for possession of child pornography. He also has been ordered to pay a total of $57,000 in restitution to 17 victims, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced.

Thilges was sentenced September 20th after pleading guilty on June 7th to receiving child pornography, court records show. FBI agents raided Thilges' mobile home on October 21st 2020 after he had made escalating threats against Democrats, social media employees, police, and others in YouTube video comments.

The agents seized numerous electronic devices that contained images and videos of child pornography and a child-size sex doll. In August 2020, he wrote, "Make the world a better place, shoot a democrat in the face. Start with every employee of twitter, google, facebook, youtube and the mainstream media. America thanks you," the affidavit said.

Thilges reportedly had over 10,000 child porn images as well as a vast arsenal that included eight assault weapons.

A South Carolina congressman who campaigns as an advocate for "traditional family values" carried out multiple affairs during his 34-year marriage, according to divorce papers. Melody Duncan accused GOP Representative Jeff Duncan in Friday's filing of abandoning his family to live with his mistress, who is reportedly a lobbyist in Washington, D.C.

Duncan "admitted this adulterous relationship to many people, including the couple's three sons and members of his staff," the filing claims. The 57-year-old conservative flaunted the affair in front of his wife's face while purporting to carry on a healthy marriage in front of his constituents while on his re-election campaign trail.

The complaint also pointed to an August 28th event that Duncan hosted that was dubbed the "Faith and Freedom BBQ," a conservative fundraising event where he referred to Melody as a loving and supportive wife.

"Duncan left the next day and went directly to the home of his mistress, Liz Williams, in Washington D.C. where he continues to reside," the complaint states.

In 2015, Duncan co-sponsored a bill to ban on same-sex marriage in the U.S. Constitution. In 2018, Duncan co-sponsored a bill allowing adoption agencies to ban same-sex couples. A church youth leader in South Carolina, who was arrested last year for multiple sex crimes against children, has been arrested again after another victim spoke out to investigators. William Pinckney Carpenter, III was arrested on Monday for criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

Last year, Carpenter was arrested for multiple counts of assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct, and sexual conduct with a minor. Carpenter was a youth leader at Eastview Baptist Church in Rock Hill and Grace Chapel Baptist Church in York when four of the alleged offenses took place, according to warrants.

He had been released on bonds totaling more than $150,000 while those charges were pending trial. Some of the victims in those cases were as young as seven years old.

A Cambridge pastor, accused of drugging and sexually abusing a child, appeared at the Story County Courthouse Monday morning for a plea hearing and sentencing. Prosecutors say Mark Benson, 69, gave a young girl medicine to make her sleep, then sexually assaulted her several times between 2009 and 2012, when she was between 10 and 13 years old.

Second District Judge Bethany Currie sentenced Benson to an indeterminate period of time behind bars, but no more than the maximum of 10 years. He was given a five-year no-contact order. He must also pay a fine, submit a DNA sample for profiling, and register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

A youth leader at Hope Lutheran Church in Quincy pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of criminal sexual abuse of a victim between 13 and 18 years old.

The charges are Class 2 felonies. Court records show that 22-year-old Isaiah Mikkelson pleaded guilty to two of the seven total charges against him.

One count of criminal sexual assault, two charges of child pornography, and two other counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse were dropped as part of the plea agreement.

According to reports, "the abuse took place on church property."

An Iredell County pastor has been sentenced to four years in prison after entering a guilty plea on child pornography charges. 66-year-old Tony Ernest Bunton of Statesville pleaded guilty Monday in Iredell County Superior Court to two counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

By pleading guilty, Bunton admitted that he distributed, transported, exhibited, received, sold, purchased, exchanged, or solicited material that contains a visual representation of a minor engaged in sexual activity.

Judge William Wood sentenced Bunton to two consecutive sentences of 24 months in prison. He will have to register as a sex offender after he is released. Bunton has been brought to Central Prison in Raleigh to serve his sentence.

A Michigan priest who posed as a 15-year-old boy on Grindr has been convicted. Aaron Nowicki, 49, was convicted of child sexually abusive activity on Thursday, according to a news release from Chippewa County Prosecutor Robert L. Stratton.

Nowicki resigned in January 2019 after he admitted to having an "improper, but not criminal, relationship with a vulnerable adult," the Roman Catholic Diocese of Marquette said in a statement.

Tulsa Police arrested a pastor who is accused of inappropriately touching a girl over a period of three years. The victim said Matthew Martinez was an associate pastor at New Heights Baptist Church and Academy.

She said Martinez put his hand up her skirt several times. She said he also touched her breasts and made her touch him. She said they kissed about 30 times, and each time was either at the school or church. The victim said Martinez would also text her that he loved her.

Police say they have recovered more than a thousand text messages. He has been charged with two counts of sexual battery.

A youth pastor at a Duluth church was jailed Tuesday and charged with sexually abusing five teenage girls. St. Louis County prosecutors said that Jackson M. Gatlin, 35, assaulted the teens between 2007 and 2010 while he worked at Vineyard Church.

Gatlin is the son of former pastors Michael and Brenda Gatlin. The couple resigned earlier this year amid concerns that they failed to act. According to a timeline of the church's response to the allegations, church leaders fired Jackson Gatlin in February for refusing to meet with private investigators whom the church had hired.

In another incident, prosecutors said that in late 2007, Gatlin invited a 16-year-old girl to his parents' house to watch football. He pinned the teen to a futon and forcibly penetrated her vagina with his fingers. After her mother found the teen barefoot in the street crying, the woman called Brenda Gatlin, who said, "We know your daughter has issues," and hung up the phone.

A Mid-South church leader and Christian school administrator who was indicted for sex crimes against a minor has been sentenced to six years in prison.

John Brownlow faced eight charges related to the grooming of a private school student during the pandemic. An investigation revealed Brownlow was charged with persuading the teen to engage in sexual activity online and then recording it without the teen's consent.

Brownlow pleaded guilty Monday to a lesser charge of criminal attempted aggravated sexual exploitation. He will also be a registered sex offender for life.

A 52-year-old former Plover youth pastor was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Tuesday after previously pleading guilty to two counts of repeated acts of sexual assault.

Jordan Huffman, 52, of Antigo will also have 20 years of extended supervision after serving his sentence. The charges stem from an assault in 2017 and lasted until 2019 where Huffman was a youth pastor at Woodlands Church in Plover. The child was 12 at the time.

At sentencing, Judge Michael Zell described the defendant as a manipulator and abuser, one who would use alcohol, drugs, and coercion to get sexual gratification from children, according to a Portage County District Attorney's Office release.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a youth pastor after he was indicted on more than a dozen charges of sex crimes involving minors. Jairo Sanchez, 38, is wanted by the Butler County Sheriff's Office, according to a report from law enforcement.

The youth pastor was indicted on charges of gross sexual imposition, sexual imposition, unlawful restraint, and abduction; Butler County court records show. The Butler County Prosecutor's Office said Sanchez is accused of victimizing five minors, all of whom were 16 years old or younger.
