I like both of these characters, Padme being my favourite. Apart from being beautiful, smart, strong, independant and determined they get the best clothes!! I personally like ALL of Padme's costumes in Ep2, the Naboo dress is my most favourite. And I like Leia's dress/hair on Endor when she learns Luke's her brother.
Anyways enough from me, what do you people think??

Lyn, POTC came out Thursday 11/9 - have you seen it yet? The end when you see the two lead characters kissing, don't you think Will/Liz pulled that off better than Anakin/Padme in Naboo?

Goes back to topic... Padme's costumes in Ep I really were too heavy!

Ep II is much better.. but the Geonosis outfit is also my fav

Yeah her costumes in Ep1 were very rigid and formal I like her Ep2 costumes better.
I like her battle out fit too, very SW chick-like

I liked the Geonosis one also especially when the Nexu got finished with her.

Like that wasn't a ploy by GL to gain more male viewers. I'm glad she was part of the action. I mean she fought alongside the Jedi!! Go Padme!!

GL is a mastermind.

Along with Trisha Biggard (sp?), she's the one who designed the outfits, except for the one Padme wears during the fireplace scene, GL himself designed that one.

Yeah she has some incredible talents, those costumes are beautiful!!
It said on the special features of the DVD that GL designed it. My Dad liked that costume too.... GL had some other motives there

She has some nice stuff too, not as nice as what Padme has, but nice stuff all the same. And her hair on Endor looks really really beautiful!!

Yeah, I can't wait to see her costumes in Ep3...though they'll probably be less nice because of what's happening.

huh??????oh you mean in the story? I doubt that...I think that they may have a darker tone, but there's no need for the costumes to lost any quality just because the story will be dreary or scary or such

The costumes will have to cover her pregnancy, so they won't be as attractive.

I don't think it will have changed heaps, but her costumes will be considerably different because she's pregnant. In Ep1 they were formal and rigid, in Ep2 they were more relaxed and really gorgeous but in Ep3 they wont be either.

I was reading this SW guide book thing (didn't really pay attention as much) but there are already clothes in Ep II that we can see in Ep IV.

I think it may have been Palpatine's assistants that looked like Leia's white costume when we first meet her in Ep IV - the hair etc were similar.

Yes and I think that GL and the costume designers have already started on identifying Ep VI aspects in Ep II.

Also, the guide said something about the red mark (lipstick) on Queen Amidala as a significant "scar" I think political in nature.

Oh yeah...I heard something about that..."scar of rememberance".

Something to do with honouring legends of Naboo or something?? Maybe some horrible thing that happened...??
