Didn't see this mentioned elsewhere on the forum, so here are my thoughts about Trinity.

The trinity in Christianity is the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

In Matrix, I think that Trinity is what binds the three together. Trinity gets Neo (the Son) to the Architect (the Father) in Reloaded by cutting the power. She also gets Neo to 01/Deus ex Machina (the Holy Ghost) in Revolutions.

not far fetched... makes alot of sense really.. the whole freaking trilogy had deeper meaning in names... that makes trinity look even better now. but she dies.. so does that mean christianty dies?

she is the one the brings about the saviour, the ONE...and when she dies, she dies so that Neo will have no inhibitions about sacrificing himself to save humanity and Zion and the machines.
