Jesus Christ Lana, what the hell happened to you? You never used to be this stuck up. You're acting like a dictator in this forum. You close threads that adhere to your own rules. That in my book requires more justification than "This is pointless".

Taking about video game characters in any sense is talking about game discussion. There is nothing to stop someone making a "best video game ass" thread and there really shouldn't be, it's a bit of harmless fun in a forum that has very few discussions going on anyway. It'd more than likely increase traffic and general flow to this "few of posts a day if you're lucky" forum. I'm all for a line being set but where you have got the line is just preposterous. I bet some people don't even bother making any threads in this forum anymore due to the fact it will more than likely get closed, even if the thread itself is of decent content.

And, there are Superhero comics that are much more realistic than any Video Game.

And, the point was only meant to apply to a certain context, who cares it's a Video Game. Being realistic will not give it any more substance.

Actually, no, tight clothing restricts your movement far more than loose clothing does. That's why, if you do martial arts, you generally train in a loose gi - you have much more freedom of movement that way. Tight clothing is also much more uncomfortable.

And General Kaliero's comment about her not resembling a female ninja and appearing more American than Japanese is more about the fact that Taki simply does not appear to be Japanese. Her body proportions are all wrong and she's far too tall. A Japanese woman that resembled her would be very uncommon.

We shouldn't even waste our time discussing this. Hardly anyone gives a damn about a video game character not being or dressing "realistically".

And, how much you wanna bet that this discussion wouldn't happen if we were talking about Hot male characters.

In Soul Calibur's case, Namco prides itself on the collection of cultures and races that make up the game's ranks. But what's the point if those characters are not true to said cultures and races? Taki is the only one to be set apart in that particular way, which leads me to the opinion her design is pure and simple fanservice.



Yes, actually, I am. I don't particularly like Ivy's attire, either. There are better and worthier ways to make a woman visually interesting than just sticking them in a skintight suit.

Though I realize my particular mindset is likely the exact opposite of that this thread was intended to interest.

There's a difference between "loose enough to move freely" and "loose enough to be used against you". A rather huge difference, in fact.

One would assume a kunoichi would dress similarly to a male ninja. After all, they tried to blend in, not stand out.

That's funny, you have characters like Maxi dressing like Elvis Presley and claims to be from the RyuKyu islands. Yet, Taki is the one that sticks out.
