I've got Halo for the PC. And it won't work. The load screen will come up (you know the one that shows the picture of Halo in front of some planet) but it won't do anytihng after that. If I move my mouse up and down, I can hear it pass over the menu screen items. Even if I click on one, it won't do anything. I've tried ALT+TAB to return to my desktop but then it won't let me back into the game. I'd try to update stuff, but I currently don't have an Internet connection in my room. If you guys know of any way to get Halo to work, it would be much appreciated.

try reinstalling it, if that doesn't work try playing with your settings on your desktop graphics menu. If that doesn't work then your only option is to find a way to download the patch.

Also, what are the specs on your PC?

Try lowering all the graphical settings, including resolution. Even lower your desktop resolution. If that doesnt work, download the latest driver for your card. If you still have a problem.. I .. I dunno

My specs( off the top of my head) are:
1.8GHZ P4
512MB DDR RAM
80GIG HD
ASUS GeForce4 TI4200
DVD/CD-R combo
ASUS P4S8X-X MOBO

hm, it may be your nvidia card, I've heard of nvidia glitches when it comes to halo, especially since you can't download the patches.
