Well this trend has been really booming in 2001 when LOTR came out along w/ Harry Potter, than more book adaptions began to come out, Cold Mountain, Troy (from the Illiad), The rest of the Lotr trillogy,Now this summer alot more are coming out that many didnt even know were book adaptations, such as I Robot, Stepford Wives, The Notebook, and Man on Fire, all were books at a time before put on film, what do you think of all these book adaptation films?

Mostly this sort of thing depends on how much the writers change the original story from the book. It really depends... LOTR was pretty good, as is Harry Potter. Haven't seen Cold Mountain. But I think on average book adaptions have been alright. (I'd rather them than the endless sequels we've been seeing lately. blink )
