Can Kitty handle the competition? Who wins?

hmm i wonder what would happen if she phased into his armor.... the neutralizer would almost certainly take her out if he got the chance to use it.

Would she not just phase through the attack?

i don't think the phasing would work. the thing has different settings but it's more...esoteric in some of its effects. hard to prove but i think the energy would effect her even if she tried to phase through it. it can neutralize most forms of energy (sonic even) and of course energy is also immaterial. it can even alter molecular structure i think. pretty sure if he wanted it to, she couldn't defend against it.

She's phased through him before and it pretty much took him out. She could also steal his neutraliser and use it I guess.

yeah THAT is what i was wondering if he was given the chance to hit her i think he'd take it. if she phases through the ground then up and through his armor that's her chance.

being able to use it and being able to withstand it are very different and like i said it has different settings. it's a lower grade plot device. i'd still wager it would kill her if he decided to use it that way--or banish her maybe.

Yeah but we saw what happened with Logan - it blasted his bones (and he was saved because of adamantium).

With Kitty....the feedback didn't do anything to her. Maybe it thought she was now ROM, but he specifically attributes it to her energy.
