When I first signed up a few months ago it was because the threads here were filled with good info and and opinions on what we will see in RotS. Now it has declined to flame wars and is quite depressing. Save the flame duels for lesser boards - lets get back to the good opinion & info filled posts and leave the crap on other boards.

Good, point filled posts that bring on more debate about a topic is nice but the flames that popup in almost every thread now is abit much and not needed on these forums. I am not saying it hs ruined this forum, I am just one small person asking the other people who frequent this forum to help stop the flame wars and get back to the great posts we all know that this forum does have.

ya know what....i can probably be blamed for "flaming" myself, so let me explain a little bit about it.

You have people like 12345m and Crow t robot, that not only do they not know about Star Wars really, but they dont know the english language. Now dont get it twisted like im a down home country boy who wants America to stay undiversified(if thats even the right word), but if you dont understan what something means, simply dont write about it. And if you do speak on it, and 5 or 6 people tell you that yore wrong, concede and let it go. But ppl dont do that here, so i let them know what everyone else wants to tell them, but doesnt. PVS, JP and Sith Master X, and DarthVader are people who i can always count on for good dicussions and they will also tell someone where to go if they do or say something stupid. I just dont bite my tounge for anyone, and dont think anyone on here should. So am i sorry or regretful for getting in heated "arguements" with people....no. And i feel that thats not whats the matter with this forum, as PVS previously stated.

im new to this one, but im not complaining about the forum, im complaining about the useless threads and the people who are in fact argumenative before they even hear someone elses thoughts or even give them a chance. Thats one thing i can say for myself, i always listen and hear people out before i REALLY put my two cents in. and i forgot to metion Corn and Space earlier....and that new guy saber too.

We got migrants from SW.C and TFN. To tell the truth I migrated from SW.C because I didn't like the idea of hyperspace and they are too goody over there. TFN just sucks and comes out with false facts. The thing with the migration is people may not feel they are welcome. Hence noobs saying SS.C is the best and so on.
I've tried hard to adapt to KMC and I think I can I have done well and given a decsent contribution.

When i came here i felt really welcome. A nice bunch of people, i can have a good old banter with about star wars, people like me who know there stuff, but also know where to the draw the line. These noobs have crossed that line!?

Im with stunrun, i mean me and him usually always agree on things, and i guess you could call me a noob to this site, but on occasion when i do blaze somebody, theres plenty of people who agree and laugh as well. I'm not a noob but I'm also not one for really deep conversations where SW is related. I love the films, really I do but I just don't know enough about SW technically or otherwise to really debate to the full with many of the knowledgeable members that visit these boards.

I just hope that my posts aren't always taken as immature just because they mostly consist of 'I love these movies!' or 'I love Hayden!' or 'I'm really excited!' or...

have you seen some of the things i post? just dont worry about it. if you say something someone doesnt like, they'll usually tell you nicely the first couple of times. Just dont worry about it, youre fine.

I hope I didn't offend anyone or make anyone mad at me for making this OT thread. I am a simple guy who doesn't join many forums because of the nonsense that goes on with all the OT posting. I dont join many forums but this one I came to really like reading thru the many fun points/arguements that are made about the Star Wars universe and RotS.

I usually keep to myself but it seemed that ever since the teaser trailer buzz started up and more so when it came out the pointless threads & posts skyrocketed. Just thought a lil reminder that things were getting away from what many people, as you can see by the comments made before this post, have agreed with my original post stated.

I think that the reason I wanted to start posting on a forum after all these years is that we are coming much closer to having all 6 films to watch and enjoy, but now we can begin to really pick apart all the central themes. ya know what, freedom of speech is a wonderful thing and although it may start out bad it could end up with positive after affects. I got in to it with Bilbofett, and we were doing it to each other, but in the midst of our argueing, we actually found a common ground and also found we agree on a lot of topics.
Whether anyone agrees with me or not on this, THIS thread is actually fueling the fire for a lot of people. They get so cought up as to why they flame and argue, and then that starts another arguement. We're focusing on the negitive. I think the biggest complaint most people have on here, is the starting of pointless, useless, or duplicated threads. Luckily some of those stupid b*stards are no longer here for the most part (12345m for example). So really, is this thread necessary? Its the posting of duplicate threads that really get to me. It can all be avoided if the newer members would use the search button. I know that JP is a big time advocate of this also. 9 times out of 10 the pointless or duplicated threads are started by a new member and 9 out of 10 of those are probably under the age of 15. there really should be some way to stop this or at least slow it down some.

Well, I agree on one item you bring up: this thread should now longer be continued. I'd not fuel the fire that gives certain people their very own 'delusions of grandeur'.

Maybe I'll post here again, maybe I won't. I really think that this board is the best out there on offer for Star Wars related chat- but in the same breath I still think it has some way to go. You have to be accepting of (apparent) new people to a board.

I think noobs need to just take a look at how the boards are run. See how we post and what is acceptable to post. On TFN, there are dozens of posts each day since the trailer came out. "Who is the guy in the trailer", referring to Tion Medon. God, do your research and stop posting garbage. I am not saying all noobs are like this, but many seem to be. This board was always good for some speculation and discussion. I joined this board after reading it for several months. I just didnt join and start posting stupid threads, like "Got Any ROTS photos?" like a lot of people do. I think we gained alot of noobs when the trailer came out. There must have been 100 people on this board at once. I have never seen that much ever.

This forum is still the best forum I have found and thus that is why I am a frequent contributor to it. I like the people here. Some have been rude and sarcastic to me, but I dont hold it against them. Others have been friendly and nice. I treat you guys the way I get treated. Scramba and JP have been nice to me, and well I treat them with respect as I do with the rest of you. And I know the forum will definitely pick up more discussions as the movie approaches.

Thus, cut the stupid thread making and dont ask dumb questions without doing research and there will be no more dumb problems and we all can just discuss and have fun waiting for ROTS.

as smegsaber said, yeah some people are just assholes and my choice to come back to this forum is i limbo, and i'm sure many would love to see me go, and others probably just don't give a flying f***, and that's fine. Noobs are here to have fun, and will eventually become perma-members, so just leave them alone, if you don't like them, that's your own problem...

exactly...ive been here around a month MAYBE, ive contributed and made posts, but i have NEVER started a thread, and theres a real simple explanation....i read what other people say and get my answers there. Its like someone will start a thread asking if someone else has pics or new info.....NO if they get something new they will post it, thats one of the good things about this forum, people share stuff. but seem to never piss anyone off? simple. because they are not attention
whores. they visit the forum, they post on threads, and when they have a cool
topic, they post a new thread. most of the people i see posting here are far newer than me, and i am a relatively new member...its safe to say that new members hold the majority of regular visitors, at least to SWIII.

its just a handfull of idiots that turn the word 'newbie' into an insult.
kinda like a couple of bad apples spoiling the bunch.

but we've already covered this topic. a NOOB is not necessarily a new person, being a newbie has nothing to do with how long they've been on the site. It has to do with their attitude and how well they've picked up on the "tone" and overall "vibe" of the site. they know how the site works, and find themselves asking the same stupid questions you used to ask when you first showed up here.

fraking idiots=newbs thats what i was getting at. fraking....ha! im not changing that. i know that there are some awesome new people here, i have many convos with them and covered many interesting topics. but the kids who pop up and say: "HEY CAN SOMEBODY PM THE TRAILER FOR EP. 3 PLEASE!" in the middle of a convo that has nothing to do with the trailer. thats annoying. by the by, your avator is MUCH better with the red effect thrown in there.

yeah, i see where both sides are coming from. i've been a member here for about a year. i don't have alot of post and haven't started any threads but i do come here daily to read the forums. i would understand how a new guy feels when he's got 5 to 6 individuals making posts and posting pics telling him his new thread is stupid and redundant. don't get me wrong there are some spammers out there, i just think we should ignore the thread and not post in it rather than feed the fire. alot these guys will go away if they feel they can't get a rise out of some. the mods are here and if they feel its stupid they can close it. it just seems like lately everyone here is trying to be in charge of something they have no control over. the only choice you have here is whether or not your going entertain someone's idea of a joke.

they posted a bum thread, they were then politely informed,
and they got the message and are still here today.

use the search option.
for example: if you want to make a thread about mace vs. anakin, type "mace " and "anakin" and set the search perameters to "episode III" and "thread title"
and *presto*. if nothing comes up, post it. if something comes up, check it out. if its unrelated, post it.
