stupid?maybe
i don't know a lot about either one but i would say transformers

muffin man
transformers come on the autobots could blast those cyborgs to piecesrobot

The Flash
Gundams. Wing Zero can kill so many Transformers with one shot.

Arsenal
Gundams. They're bigger and more powerful, unless you bring giants like Unicron into the picture.

Imperial_Samura
The Transformers I would say. Even the weakest (Bumblebee) are excellent warriors, let alone the leaders, Optimus Prime, Shockwave, Grimlock and Megatron alone could probably take it. I don't believe the Gundam have the fire power needed to put down alone of these four, taking into account that on a good day apparently Prime can hit a target from 30 miles away. And the question is pretty broad "The Transformers" this would include the likes of Trypticon and Metroplex (as large as cities) Unicron (a planet eating planet, bless him) the gestalt's (Tranformers merging to form even larger, more powerful transformers). No doubt, united the Transformers are unstoppable.

The Flash
Wing Zero can destroy a colony with his rifle.

Barring the super-sized transformers, the gundams are much larger, much faster, and much more powerful. True, Optimus, Megatron, Grimsi, and the like would all be much more likely to survive, but all of the gundams have sufficient weaponry to cut through them. In order for this thread to be truely accurate, we need 2 rosters.

Lord Ryugen
It's not just the Autobots the Decepticons get a crack, which means we can bring on the real heavy hitters like Tripticon the city sized Decepticon. Unfortunatly as soon as Wing Zero fires half the Transformer forces'll be wiped out. And if we're using the Endless Waltz gundams we get the Tallgesse III...with the mega cannon...that blew a huge astaroid base...Transormers are screwed

Imperial_Samura
They surely must have some weakness, and if so the Transformers are perfect for dealing with them. With so many specialised types of soldier the Transformers would try to fight on their own terms, and use their specilised troops wisely. The Decepticons have a planet full of cannon fodder, and their specialised elites. The Autobots have the likes of Wheel-Jack and the Dinobots, all very specialised. And if Unicron was able to take out time from his busy schedule, then its over very quickly. I can almost imagine an endless wave of Sharkticons attacking, kill a million, they have more.

Lord Ryugen
True, but the ridiculous power of the Wing Zeros Buster cannon, the Heavyarms tendancy to carry a munitions dump of ammo and the possibility of the mega cannon renders both Transformer armies unfortunatly doomed.

Imperial_Samura
I will have to hope for luck then. Or that Mirage, teamed up with Ravage and Hound (basically the first two can pretty much cloak and Hound can create impressive mirages and illusions) would perhaps be able to sabotage them somehow. Or Ratbat could use his hypnotic powers, or WheelJack and the rest of the scientific bots could come up with some manner of do dad to render the Gundam advantage obsolete. After all, in the recent comics the Decepticons developed an entity that could have destroyed the earth, and actually was empowered by being attacked, it fed on energy, the greater the blasts or shots, the greater its growth...

Mainstream
Gotta go with the Transformers. If they lost, it'd be a Gun dam shame.

Kontraz
theres already a thread like this... do a search and revive it...

Imperial_Samura
True, and for sheer experience the Transformers are far out in the lead, they have been fighting their war for millions of years, against foes that are extremely powerful.

crazyspinz
wow, great thread smilely, i was acualy thinking this exact one thumb up

id say transformers only because there are alot more of them, buit if it was an even amount of guys on each side, i would give it it the gundams, i dont read mutch about transformers in the comics, so ima sound like an idiot here but here i go anyway. in the cartoon of transformers one of the rather week autobots got that lightsaber thing, and he owned everyone and all the decepticons where scared of him. everysingle one of the gundams, exept heavy arms has a sword or weapon like that, and they are way more skilled with it than anyof the transformers.

Imperial_Samura
The way I see it this is what the Transformers have on their side -
Experience - They have been at war for millions of years
Specialists - Almost every major transformer character had some speciality.
Matrix - Who knows, its a great ball of tricks
Numbers - Of fighters? Counting all the faceless Decepticons, Sharkticons and those transformers from the galaxy fringes? A million at least. The Hub lost over 40,000 troops in the war between the originals and the next gen and it stated it was but a fraction of its forces...
Scientists - These are the Transformers here.
Decepticons - While the autobots might get upset by losses the Decepticons won't care, and from what I remember of the Gundams they have so much drama, one major character dies and well....
Uber-Bots - Ones like Shockwave or Galvatron, Trypticon, Unicron, etc...while I can't remember if they could destroy colony's they could destroy mountains easily... and I am pretty sure Galvatron blew up some pretty big stuff
Agility - Some Gundams seem to move so slow, and they are piloted by humans. The Transformers, even the slowest, move at a zippy pace, and a good number have flight capabilities.
Adaptability - as I said before it wouldn't take long for the Transformers to begin adapting and maybe even cannibalising Gundam weapons, learning from captured or destroyed Gundam forces.
Science - Transformer boffins are amazing, and came up with some wacky, powerful stuff, including a plague that could have destroyed earth, and there was also the swarm, a byproduct of the Transformers that went around eating the universe until Prime enlightened it.

muffin man
are these transformers the armarda/energon version becaus in that they can blast parts of small planets off

While going through the comparisons, it has occurred to me that we have managed to take into account a large amount of details. Firepower and weaponry, experience, technology, agility, and even a few long-term ones like adaptability. What we appear to have overlooked, however, is not how big of a punch one can throw, but who can take a big punch. What I refer to is armor and defensive capabilities. No one on the internet (from my week-long search across multiple search engines) has ever compared the materials that each side uses. Transformers from classical lines (before the unmentionable Bayformers disaster. Transformium is B.S.) were made of either Earth-based metals or Cybertonium alloys. Trionium, Crysmag, Cybertanium, and G-Metal are all high-strength metals seen in common TF series, some having nigh-impervious traits.

Gunduams, on the other hand, are made of the material known as Gundanium. That metal is said to be "a unique compound which can only be produced in the zero-gravity conditions of space. In addition to its incredible strength--several times the strength and heat-resistance of titanium, Gundanium alloy is electrically non-conductive and cannot be detected by radar."

psycho gundam
This is too broad to judge properly, however the most powerful weapon in Gundam wing was the Libra space station laser that cold destroy cities. Also the Peacemillion vessel slammed into Libra and was theorized to cause an endless winter on Earth if they were to fall into orbit but then Unicron simply eats planets and moons

Flyattractor
Probably the Gundams but only because of their way over the top Wacky Japanese Power Levels.....and the ability to pull extra power literally out of their asses.

TXP101
That almost reminds me of Transformers: Cybertron (but on a way higher power level). Whenever the TFs got their hands on a CyberKey, their energy/powers went off the charts. Optimus Prime (in Sonic Wing Mode or Super Mode) had various abilities that could, IMO, possibly match those of the Gundams in some cases. But, the most likely form that could put TFs on the board (ironically) is a recent event; the unfortunate TFs crossover with Evangelion (bleh). In that case, Optimus Prime can become enormous in both size and power, possibly matching the EVA 01. Don't know if that matches Gundam, though. Also, as mentioned by TF Wikia, OP's Sonic Wing Mode can dodge laser fire (implying he can move at the speed of light in some cases). Therefore, OP does have a small chance of being an equalizer in this matter. I just don't know if it's enough to put TFs on the score board, though...

TXP101
Does this make a difference?
