Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will return to the big screen next year to make a cameo in a comedy written and produced by friend and True Lies co-star Tom Arnold, reports the Associated Press.

During an appearance Monday on Fox's The Best Damn Sports Show Period, which is co-hosted by Arnold, Schwarzenegger said he's in the upcoming movie The Kid & I. It will also reteam Schwarzenegger with his Terminator 2: Judgment Day co-star Linda Hamilton, and Arnold said Jamie Lee Curtis, who starred with Schwarzenegger and Arnold in 1994's True Lies, will make a cameo as well.

Schwarzenegger didn't reveal what role he would play in the movie, directed by Penelope Spheeris and slated to be released sometime next year.

The independent project stars newcomer Eric Gores as Aaron Roman, a 17-year-old with cerebral palsy who dreams of being in an action movie. His wealthy entrepreneur father (Joe Mantegna) tells Aaron he can have anything he wants for his 18th birthday, only to have to hustle to get the movie made.

Arnold stars as an out-of-work actor who collaborates with Aaron on the new project. Shannon Elizabeth will play Aaron's stepmother with Hamilton the ex-wife of Arnold's character. Richard Edson rounds out the cast as a homeless man-turned-assistant.
