The God of Thunder vs. The Comic counterpart of Darth Vader

Doom probably wouldn't be interested in fighting Thor. He'd be more interested in taking Thor's power and harnessing Mjolnir. In combat, he'd lose horribly to Thor. But if he wanted to take Thor's power, he could do it. In fact, I think he did steal Mjolnir once and did some bizarre time-manipulation trick with it to beat his evil child clone shortly after the Heroes Return storyline.

Doom's been around a lot longer than Vader.

And have y'all seen that nifty little pistol on Doom's waist. He made that thing specifically to disintegrate the likes of Thor.

Doom was actually one of the inspirations for Vader if im not mistaken

yea thor would take him if they fought head on but more than likely that wouldn't be the case. if dr.doom wanted to he'd take mjolnir, and i think he did... don't remember how or why though.

Doom can't hold the Mjolnir, I thought.

He tryed and there was a huge cosmic backlash of some sort and he basicly gave up because the hammer rejected everyone but Thor

Wow, Doom's armor took a God-Blast

I'd say that give him an edge here.

Not all energy disharges from Mjolnir are "godblasts".... in fact they're only an extremely small percentage

except i really doubt DD could build a machine to hold Godmagic. Power cosmic is a scientific force. THor's energy is magic.

Doom has abosbred Galactus power before, all of it I might add. I think Doom could absorb Thor's power regardless of its magical base, Doom also does magic.

like i said Power Cosmic is a scientific force. and all of Galactus' power is power cosmic. Thats why he was able to steal it. but magic is random and not only is it magic but Godmagic it would be even harder to steal.

Doom used magic to summon pre-retconned beyonder from his universe...he can handle Thor's magic.

Actually... watch this...

Ironman made a suit specifically out of uru metal. It was able to channel into him energy from a god (it was either the godforce or odinforce) which he used as a part of his repulsar blast. Ironman + urumetal = repulsar blast + magic.

I'd say Dr. Doom might be able to strike a bargain with some nether fiend into getting him some uru metal.. don't you?

Even his most recent armor which he tried and failed lifting Mjolnir in was magic based.
