It looks alright. I think about it though and House of the Dead sucked. One of the worst horror movies I've ever seen and it was based on a game. Resident Evil is pretty good and that was based on a game too. I don't know, just doesn't look that good to me although I loved the game for my 3DO years ago.

The creatures look REALLY REALLY fake. Looks cheap. Plus the story doesn't appeal to me even if it did visually look good.

saw this for free and it wasnt even worth the time it spent to see it... worst movie ive seen in a very very very long time

The story seems very familiar to the film called Pitch Black starring Vin Diesel.

its been a long time since i played the game but i dont remember creatures like this or a team of commandos either, it was one guy walking through a house solving puzzles, am i thinking of the same alone in the dark game?

What is so crappy about Matrix shots?

Because it has been done in a new and enervating way in the first Matrix movie, all other attempts are sad ripoffs, even in the Matrix sequels.
But back to 'Alone in the dark'. At the first second I saw the trailer I already made up my mind; this is one very very bad movie (in the negative manner of speech). It pretends to be Aliens in a plot far from the story of the original game, with lousy effects, shitty storyline (as the 'man' Uwe Boll thought he could get away with altering the original tale to the absurd). I can't believe he even got some known names to star in this pile of poo.
You'll need to tie me down with barbwire and cut of my eyelids before I'll ever see this movie.

Anyone get the impression that Uwe Boll is trying to ruin all video-game movies?
