I've been searching for a higher quality version of the fan film Troops by Kevin Rubio. The best I have been able to find so far is a 26.4 MB QuickTime movie file. Does anyone know if a better quality version exists anywhere? smile

LightSaber_Part
I haven't seen that one before.
Is it on theforce.net???
I'd like to see it smile

DarkYoda
Yeah...it's on theforce.net.

I wanted a version that was better quality that I could convert to DVD. And it seems that there is now a better version. I don't know how I could have missed it. I wonder if this happened recently? wacko This has been a weird day for me.

It could still stand to be better though.

Comic book conventions always have DVD's with Star Wars spoofs on them. I saw Troops just the other day. But you'd have to pay 20.00...and 5.00 for admission...But at least the quality is good compared to the internet versions.

A friend of mine from theforce.net just uploaded to me a copy of the DVD version of the Troops short. It's really sweet. If anyone else out there would like it, PM me and we'll arrange something. It's huge though. 385 MB!! Ouch! big grin cool Happy Dance

TROOPS = Funniest thing ever....laughing out loud
One question though> Is Kevin Rubio, (the Director), the same Rubio as the guy that had a column in SW Insider? confused
'Cause if he is....then it all fit's into place....wink

I have created a torrent for this here:

I recently had a request for this again. The old torrent link no longer works.

This time I decided to upload it to Sendspace. For everyone's benefit, I am posting those links here. smile

In TOTAL, there are 5 links.

They contain 5 files from a VIDEO_TS DVD Folder. If you unfamiliar with how a DVD Folder works, go here -> http://www.videohelp.com/dvd

The first link is a RAR file ( WinRAR -> www.rarlabs.com ) that contains 4 DVD Info files (2 IFO and 2 BUP files)

DVD IFO and BUP files RAR

The next 4 links are for the large VOB file... the file that actually contains the video. It was split into 4 parts to make uploading it easier. You will need WinRAR to put it back together.

VOB file (Part 1)
