I agree.. LOTR is more complex then POTC.. although I do like POTC better I know LOTR would win over it

I don't think Potc will win many, if any. It's not what the academy go for. It maybe has a chance in best visual effects, cos the visual effects are very superior.
But Lord of the Rings is the obvious choice for the wins. In my opinion, and don't kill me for saying, but i actually think LotR is the cheesiest movie ever made, and i don't see what the hype is all about. But again, it is the obvious choice, and i think it is the strongest contestant in the running.

I loved LOTRs but Johnny did a superior job on his character, no one else could have come close to pulling it off.

O yes! the makeup was awesome!!! and so were the visual effects. And Johnny.

Yeah I know he didn't win. The stupid Lost in Translation actor guy one. I will never see that stupid movie NEVER!!! Bad luck to be talkin' bout' stupidity.
I think Johnny should win the oscar for best actor, because all the other actors were plain, and they acted normally in their movies, BUT Johnny played a really hard to play character, I bet nobody can play Javk as well as Johnny did. He deserves an Oscar! And first one too!
