Because of Bwa Ha Ha's and my need to collect random and. . .basically silly things to expand on a Greek play we have devised, I would like to summon the schizophrenic and deranged minds of the forum to help add to our material.

Basically any random or humorous, not widely known, or made-up myth/urban legend/strange story to lengthen our masterpiece of a randomly crazy, Greek theater type, deviant. . .THING.

Any Greek related material is much appreciated.

Can be graphic and gore filled (in fact it is preferred).

The terms I use are the ones I find most suitable for what I am describing. I use the term Human Emotionalism because it is the most correct phrase and is an appropriate title for the trait.

The thread itself is not random, it is requesting myths, both known and fabricated by yourself or your allies, to spark ideas to add onto a Greek play devised by Bwa Ha Ha and myself.

So, Negative the thread itself is not random. It contains "randomness".

You just want a random Greek myth? I'm a little confused on the question, but I like to think I'm a storehouse of Greek myths, so I will try to give you a really fun one.

Once upon a time there was a lovely, virginal girl named Persephone who was the daughter of Demeter, goddess of grain, farming, and fertility...basically Mother Nature. The two loved harvesting grain to feed the humans. On the flip side is the lord of the underworld Hades, a dark and mysterious, but fair and decent god. He took one look at Persephone, fell madly in love, and knew he found his queen. Interestingly, Persephone translates to "destroyer of light" so it was almost as if she were destined for darker things than picking grain.
Anyhooo, some say Hades seduced her, others say he kidnapped her into the underworld and held her there. Meanwhile, Demeter lamented and neglected her duties as Mother Nature and the natural part of the world seemed to die. The one rule of the underworld is that you can't eat or drink anything there and escape. Persephone did not know this and ate six pomegranate seeds. At last, the gods found her and decided since Demeter and Hades are so important, Persephone should spend six months with her mother and six months with her husband rulling the underworld because of the number of seeds she ate. Thus, for six months, nature seems to die and lies in winter. This is the time Persephone became known as a hard but fair queen of the dead just like Hades.

They don't exactly HAVE to be based off of true Greek gods and established myth. I think fabricated ones are even better, especially if fabricated by an mind educated in established myth so that they can make more since, be in the style of such myths.

You do seem a useful archive of knowledge.
Try devising your own, random, Greek-esq myths/stories/legends and inform me if any arise. After all, the entire play (so far) is based off of the fabricated Karoz the Rabbit God and Mayo the Foolish Mortal.

So, make them similar to the true myths, but more random and/or silly and/or violent.

I appreciate someone other than the two people I talked to for this whole thing so far taking interest.

Hmm. . .Since, as of now, only six votes have been cast, and a majority of them are negative I'll give a better summary.

As I said, it is as of now, a rather short play:
Basically, there is a simple citizen named Mayo(name subject to change. I think it was that in the beginning because his dying word was going to be "Neisse". *shrug* Inside joke, kinda.) who is a basic pansy. When one mourning waking up to tend his garden he catches a harmless bunny, devouring the only thing in the world he cares about. So he kicks the bunny (off the stage). A peasant (named Plumbob) sees "the heroes successful slaying of the fierce rodent, calling him the best bunny assassin ever". So the word of his fame spreads, he becomes big headed, killing dozens of rabbits a day. This angers Karoz, so one night Mayo is visited by the Rabbit Messenger, who warns him of his wrongdoing, and then hits him over the head with a giant, pink rabbit. When he awakes the next morning, he believes it to be a dream, and so he goes to kill the first rabbit of the day. Then Karoz intervenes, ensnares his immortal soul, and that s when the roman police show up, because violence on stage was illegal.


As I said, it needs work, and ideas.
