It LOOKS like its from DMC...but we dont actually have a scene in DMC where jack walks upto liz on the beach to see the compass....

I believe it's from the bit that was cut from DMC. Elizabeth, Jack and James are walking along the beach. James and Elizabeth talk about the island being a plague island, Norrington has a fabulous line that Jack Davenport makes me melt with, and then Jack tells Liz to not fraternize with "the help". I think that's when he looks at the compass and gives James his shovel to carry.

Well, the whole movie was a satire which was cool, but I loved the fight, I laughed so hard!!!

My mom couldn't finnish the movie Borat....so I guess that's bad.

You know what...Johnny was known as a bad-ass trouble maker, druggie in Hollywood after his break up with Winonna...and then he takes a break in his career...then he goes to France and meets the girl of his dream...he become a reformed womanizer into a one-woman man, settles down and has children...and people say rogues can change...Johnnny and Jack parallel on that aspect....Jack's been a carousing hell-raising rogue...womanizing in tortuga...and yet, with Elizabeth he's met his match, possibly the girl of his dreams..so who says Jack, like his portrayer, johnny, couldn't settle down with a woman....the Pirates is reaching an end of an era...Jack can't keep plundering and running from the EITC forever...he must find a place in the new world or perish...I like one of the KTTC ideas...and Misty Pirate has talked about it....Jack and Elizabeth settling in Colonial AMerica and captaining blockade running ships for the Colonies......or something like that....

Well, we've always known there was a rumored wedding somewhere during the course of AWE. But the question is where and with whom. I have theories, but none of them are conclusive. Imdb had Elizabeth listed as Turner, not Swann. So I'm guessing that is probably the direction that they're going.

Imdb are not always right. The only people who know are the cast of POTC and the writer of the book person.

Odd how Will becomes fishface, Jack has a wedding outfit and so does liz, then rumors about Liz and Jack. Who knows.

liz was enaged to Norrington, wedding interupted with Will and now the next person who loves her is Sparrow, they do say third time is the charm.

And then there was Lovelyone's theory about Elizabeth's use of the wedding dress, and the whole "widowed before her marriage" line in DMC. I can see where she is going with that line of thinking, since essentially, if you're of the mind that Elizabeth's husband is Jack, that it sort of predicts the future.

She sends Jack to his death, and essentially becomes a widow before her marriage. Then, the line continues that the ghost is "searching for her lost love at sea". Ironically, we see Elizabeth go on a quest to search for Jack at World's end.

But, I will also say that the same information can foreshadow her relationship with Will. So things are still up in the air.

Thats a promotional site, they don't specialize in doing costumes for the movies, they promote things for movie productions ect...

Well, given the vein of the marketing, we've either been right this entire time, or they're marketing the J/E two pack in a clever rouse to throw us all off the scent. It's possible, not probable, but possible.

Unless the twist at the end of the movie is that Elizabeth jilts Jack on the aisle to run away with Will.

okay i remember this one site where this article was Johnny and Richard talking they went over there lines together to get chemistry in the movie and richard said a line about Jack and flirting with liz and we only see teague at the brethen and then the rumors about Jack and liz forced marriage and maybe teague gives Jack the coat to wear. Anyway i know it is lame but it kinda makes sense in my head.

I was reviewing the quotes from the writers today, and one of them flat out states that Elizabeth's choice will not necessarily be made by her.

Yes you are right people are saying that is whats going to happen. But, I'm talking about the ending ending, there is something going on and things that don' t fit..

True, the choice that surrounds Will's fate my in fact not be the final choice that is made. And there is something going on because of the marketing.

You know what still doesn't fit? The whole immortal Will and Elizabeth, Jack sails off to the find the fountain of youth. For that matter, the whole marriage ceremony between Will and Elizabeth? It doesn't seem like they're together until the very final fight scene, and then we all know what happens to Will. So when do they have time to get married?

Ok, if that happens, then we can maybe incorporate some of the rumors. Such as Jack and Elizabeth marry after the whole debacle with the flying Dutchman. They settle on their island together, and have a child. Will comes to visit them (hence incorporating the Hawaii/Dominic rumors) and though he is immortal and knows that one day Jack and Elizabeth will perish, there is hope because he can look after their son. Maybe, he decides to take the boy with him on their many adventures.

Another thing is that scene where Liz tells Jack "it wouldn't have worked between us". I think that is towards the end, Liz looks like she is saying good bye to everyone. Look at everyones expressions they look sad and tired but relax, it looks like they fought the big battle and the won. Liz also has a big cut on her left cheek. Could everyone be sad because Liz is leaving? Maybe..I heard a rumor that at some point in the movie Liz gives the pirates a speech and motivates them to fight. Notice that part in the trailer where she turns around and all the pirates are raising their swords, so that could be it. I'll post a cap.

It said something to the effect of characters get married, die, become immortal, and some characters are left worse off than where they started in the first film. Also, they mentioned the whole quest for the fountain of youth as a possible set up for a fourth film.

So it was removed?? mad2 This is upsetting when was that posted, how long ago? This is really upsetting..that makes sense, that the some of the characters are going to beleft where they first started in cotbp. Look at Gibbs in the trailer, his back in Tortuga. And it looks like he is saying good bye to Jack.. I really really hope they don't pull out a crap like that.

i think it was in the beginning it said they brought a hooded figure to Sao that was the 56 page script in the 36 sao brought them Turner

They did say that it seemed as though it was an early draft in the review. And since this was written in November of last year, I would wager that they probably didn't have the most recent version of the script.

And to put together what we already know: we seemingly know who will die, and become immortal, though the quote implies more than one person becomes immortal.

As far as the marriage goes, it's hard to say which direction it will lean. If there is more than one character that becomes immortal, then I think we know who will be joining Will.

That's right! So it was an old draft. Excellent. But the writers did say that not a whole lot has changed from basic outline of the plot in terms of the 56 pager.

So the elements are there, but the details have changed.

The kiss in teh battle between them (W/E) from my point of view was a good-bye kisss, you know near the end of the battle it is time to stab the heart so one last kiss before he become immortal kiss.

Is that supposed to be Elizabeth's wedding dress? Because if it is, it doesn't work out with the getting married on ship theory. Like, she wouldn't go below deck mid-battle to change into her wedding clothes, come back up, step over a dead pirate and say 'I'm ready.' And who would marry them? It would have to be the captain, and who's ship are they on during that scene?

It's beside the point, but I'm so jealous of Elizabeth's dresses. They are so detailed and perfect and beautiful. Even if they are anti-breathing. I always wanted a beautiful 18th century dress.

Well, they could elope essentially, and then have a more traditional ceremony on land. Or since he's not allowed to go on land, they could have an official ceremony after the battle has run its course. It seems like an awful lot of work, but they didn't actually get to go through the ceremony the first time.

Lost about what? These are supposed costumes set to be released as AWE mechandise. Meaning that there is supposedly a wedding. Also, there is that red coat floating around online that the costuming company has listend as 'Jack Sparrow's wedding coat'. There's no proof of anything yet. We were just discussing.

The rumor of the wedding costume for Jack has been floating around for a while. People are trying to take a crack at it but it's a little confusing.

I heard there was a wedding or someone getting married, but who with who? Do we even know if it involves with Liz?

There's a marriage we know about that doesn't necessarily involve Elizabeth. But there must also be another one we don't necessarily know about because of the wedding costumes that are being sold. There was always the rumor that Will and ELizabeth finally get married mid movie.

I know, that rumor was a bit confusing. And Barbossa was the one who's going to marry them.

I'm not sure, there are things that doesn't seem the way it looks. Maybe I'm just hallucinating.

It's too early to tell really. We're basing what we know about rampant rumors, early screen plays, bits and pieces of a trailer that's meant to entice rather than inform. Also, we can't set too much stock in the marketing because that can be meant to be misleading as well.

We already saw the scene where Will proposes to Liz. So if Barbossa was to marry them like the rumor says, then it would be silly of seeing Barbs appear out of nowhere:

Will: Will you marry me?

Liz: I don't think this is the best time.

Barbossa: *BLING* do you, Will, take her as your wife?

Will: I do--where do you come from?

Barbossa: Do you, Liz, take Will as your husband?

Liz: I do..?

Barbossa: I pronounce you bla bla--gotta go I'm in a middle of a battle.*BLING*

Well, you have to remember that Elizabeth is essentially a Captain. I'm not sure it's particularly legal, but who's to say that she wouldn't be able to officiate the ceremony.

To me, it doesn't sound particularly practical. If they marry it would be after the battle is over. I think they decide that if they survive the battle, they'll marry one another. But a wrench is thrown in the wheel when Will becomes immortal.

Which brings me to two things that the writers have said about the situation. The first is that Elizabeth's decision will not solely be her decision. We know this is the case for two reasons, one: Will is wounded and is essentially forced to become the Captain of the Dutchman by Jack or die. He chooses the later. So in a way, her decision is significantly impacted by both men. Jack essentially chooses Will for her by sparing his life. Also, the writers said that if the triangle is written correctly that the fans should be divided. That by the time the movie is over, one side of the fandom would join the other in applauding the "MOST CORRECT CHOICE."

Not the best choice, not the right choice, but the MOST CORRECT CHOICE. I've always looked at those words in terms of character, but now I think I want to look at it in terms of plot.

In terms of what we know about the resolution of the battle, who then is the most correct choice?

The wording of that is interesting to me.

The writers have a way to tease us with info .

I just don't want to jup into conclusions with the suppose Jack wedding coat. I love the idea but I don't want to get my hopes too up high in jumping into conclusion and falling flat on my face.

The wedding gown seems really suspicious, the advertisement says is from AWE, Another weird thing I notice is that says, "As if you step right off the movie" And those costumes won't be available until April 16? I don't want to jump in to conclusions. But that seems a bit to suspicious..

Those toys and promotional J/L merchandise have to mean something, I don't think they are doing it just for pure enjoyment and fun..Come on!
