How you are better in the games then your character is in movies/comics/books.

For example, In LOTR the best count that Gimli and Legolas got was 43.

I, myself score something like 297.

In Spiderman 2, Spidey gets his ass kicked by Dr. Ock.

He can't even touch me in the game.

yes but those characters in the movies/comics/books only get one chance to pull off that 43 kill spree.. while you can just hit reset and do it over and over again until you master it.. for this reason I cant really find any valid "Im better than my character" situations

I don't really play games based on films, as they usually 'suck'.
I think the reason you get to kill more than on films, is its more fun!

Wierd thing in Battle for Middle Earth. If you put Legolas, Aragon and Gimli in a battle againts Gandalf they have a good chance of winning yet in the movie their weapons are no match againts Gandalf.
