I say Mario in a straight up fight but Donkey Kong would interfere and kill them both with a single barrel...man i am so baked!

INCORRECT! luigi has a greater reach, so he just puts his hands on his dimunitive brothers head and laughs as mario attempts an offensive assault.

Usually they are equal, except in Super Mario Bros. 3. In that game Mario is a great all around character while Luigi has a very high, slow jump. In that setting I think I prefer the manuverability of Luigi. In Mario Bros. they are the same, they just look different.

Mario wins in terms of the quality of his games though.
