I want to make a video

I'd like to make a video with bits and pieces of at least one lightsabre fight scene from every movie(including part ofthe Dooku duel and the Anakin/Obi duel...I'll probably edit again after the movies are actually out). Anyone know if there are any sites with the files already ripped off the DVDs? I'd hate to have to rip every DVD then edit the scenes and such...It would take forever.

I searched in the I-II forum to no avail...So, I figured since this is the most viewed, I would have the best luck here.

Some examples of what I'm looking for are:

QGG-Maul
QGG/Obi-Maul
Obi-Maul
Anakin slaughtering the sand people
The E2 Jedi/Clone Troopers fight scenes(on Geo)
Obi/Anakin-Dooku
Anakin(lights off)-Dooku
Yoda-Dooku

Old Ben-Vader
Any Luke-Vader
Palpatine frying Luke
Vader with no helmet

ANY help would be appreciated. I'll of course toss out links when I'm done. I might need help with some of the sound(music) dubbing as the time comes.

Thanks in advance.

For starters, you could try trailers. I think there was an Episode I fan video featuring Maul SOMEWHERE in that forum.. that'd that a bit to find, though. I doubt it survived my format, though. I don't know of any sites with whole movies, but maybe you could find one with video clips. I had a lightsaber clip that I could upload for you tomorrow, for every lightsaber scene we had from the teaser in November, to the Dooku clip from Webdoc 14, and the fan-made ones from the unfinished WD14 video. I need to update it with Pixel's trailer, and from the Theatrical one, but that's all I got for ya so far. Good luck, though smile

i made a darth maul episode 1 trailer. here ill upload it

JKozzy
Oh, so you were him? That was a good one, by the way. stick out tongue

What'du use for your source video?

All the files for trailers I'm dling off of Limewire are crap.

There's a couple german ones for the old trilogy with no sabre fighting at all...And some parody with fake actors... sad

Anyone have a better file sharing program that I can use?

Sting_2003

Anyone have a better file sharing program that I can use? I don't think that p2p will work out too well, but specialized websites and fan trailers may prove more useful.

you should include stuff from episode three trailers too.

Obi-OneManShow
Cool! I like...

xeous
Might be a dumb question but, I've never known how to save quicktime files that pop up like that(for the trailers).

Right clicking gives me the option to save but it isn't clickable.

Obi-OneManShow
Open the page source and search for ".mov"
This should give you the correct URL (unless it's protected or something).
If you enter the complete URL into Google, you get a right-clickable (thus saveable) link.
That's how I do it anyways, I'm sure there's a simpler way...

xeous
Cool. Thanks.

bwill00
post it when its all complete. if it has all six movie clips and its well put together by celebration three you should send it to the fanfilms and mabey they will show it.

bwill00
yes,that would be cool

xeous
Well, I'm going to be using you guys and your expertise a lot since I'm not exactly experienced.

If you have anything for me to read about anything that has to do with something like this or any clips to post, please post them here, I'll read them.

This is going to be kinda tough for me to do(college english exam and college history exam next week) but since I love the lightsabre fight scenes so much, I figured I may as well do it.

So, if you have any links for anything, don't hesitate to throw them my way. I want this to be as good as possible.

Also, any program reccomendations would be good too.

xeous
So far the only things that I've put together are hockey highlight reels...A couple minutes each.

Just thought I'd let you guys know that that's how inexperienced I am, help would be great smile

I'm not asking for help with the work itself...Just..Sugguestions...Okay, I'm done...Back to looking for that .mov link cool

STING 2003, iwas watching ur ep3 trailer and on aim when someone logs on it plays that wav of obiwan saying he felt a disturbence in the force as if millions of voices cried out and then were suddenly scilenced.it played right when anikan with sith eyes looks at camera, and it would be cool if you put that in there.it sounded awsome. www.wavcentral.com

xeous
Obi, I think it's hidden?:

document.write('<SCR' + 'IPT LANGUAGE=VBScript\> \n'); //FS hide this from IE4.5 Mac by splitting the tag

Obi-OneManShow

xeous
http://www.starwars.com/episode-ii/release/trailer/4.html

How did you get the clips from the movie?

Rip them?

That's what the whole problem is...

xeous
The ending to your E3 trailer almost made me cry with excitement...

You use Adobe Movie Maker?

Sting_2003
i use adobe premiere pro

lol you should just stick to using trailers and clips

Obi-OneManShow
http://www.starwars.com/episode-ii/release/trailer/mov/ep2_clone_war_640.mov

Clickable link:

I use Firefox, I just click the link on the page, so I get the second window with the trailer. In that window, I go to View -> Page Source, and I find the proper link searching for ".mov"

bwill00
