Alright the ships on earth are the ones he has to stop including the single man vessels. It starts from when the one destroys the helicopter. All the ships all over the earth.

Is Jeff Goldblum helping him?

I am expecting a rampage here lasting a 2 weeks for MoS to take out all the ships. I honestly see him taking this without much difficulty. just time is a factor

IIRC they had blasts which wiped out entire cities, IDK if Superman can survive a blast like that.

He did survive Doomsday's redirected HV blast, but that was on a much smaller scale than some of what the aliens did.

Unless their shields are down, I'm not sure Supes can do much to them. Iirc the U.S. fired a nuke at them while shielded and it did nothing at all.

I don't think he can get past the shields. Only possible means of victory I can think of would be to attack the large ships' main weapon when they fire.

Can they harm him?

Those energy blasts would hurt, I reckon. He can prolly knock em around even with the shields. At least the small fighter craft. But get hit once in a while due to the sheer number of ships. At the very least force some to crash some into mountain sides/buildings. Crashing into a jet seem enough to shake the alien ships a bit. I bet Supes crashing into one would toss one pretty hard. But it would hurt Supes a bit, too. Strat seemed enough to disable an alien fighter (Will Smith tricked one to crash on a canyonside IIRC). But with so many ships, he's gonna wear himself down. He loses eventually, taking several small fighters down. But that's it.

I personally can't see him going after the big ships and doing much good.

No way he's getting hit with the main gun, tho.

They only really fired their main gun to destry ground targets, tho. And was it ever established that their shields went down when they fired their gun? As far as I can remember, it was only vulnerable when the shields were all already down after they took out the mother ship.

Superman stomps. A drunk crop dusting Vietnam pilot took their ship out.

He was only able to do that because the shields were taken down.

Did the larger ships have to lower shields so its fleet could fly out?

They said the virus had to start in the mother ship then filter down to the other ships.

And the city busting ship was barely scratched by multiple missiles even after the shields were down

Well they we're 15 miles in diameter. Before they became visible they we're surrounded by smoke and fire I wonder if that was from entry into earth's atmosphere?
