Two brothers return to the home town they left years before. They are close, but very different: Richard is strong and purposeful, Anthony younger, more hesitant. Everything Richard does, Anthony innocently mimics. He is slightly retarded and completely in awe of his brother, who in turn is very protective of him.

They set up camp in the hills overlooking the town, reminiscing over their shared past. But they're not here to reminisce. Richard is here for revenge.

He knows who he wants and he knows where they live. The town he left eight years ago is still run by the same gang of small-time drug dealers and thugs. The threat of his presence is enough to instill suspicion and paranoia. Why is he back? What does he want? Who is he after?

One by one, he tracks them down, striking fear into their hearts and turning them against one another. As the gang falls apart, we learn the terrible truth about what went before and how a brother's love inspired violent retribution.


a magnificent film only tainted by some poor first time acting on the part of some of the drug gang

in my opinion it is one of the finest British films for years...on par with sweet sixteen, trainspotting and disco pigs

i cant recommend it highly enough

Yeah saw it ages ago, really good gritty film to come out of Britain. I enjoyed the film.

Has anyone seen this, it is one of the best films i have ever seen. Its a british film, came out earlier this year.Directed by Shane Meadows and starring Paddy Considine, kind of thriller/revenge/horror film.

Absolutley Amazing, 10 out of 10, if you have not seen this you must, i guarantee you will not be disappointed.

indeed it is...i've given a loan to a few mates..all of them loved it...

some of the acting can be a bit poor but then thats cause some of the cast never acted before in their lives...

brilliant little twist

Yeah me too, everyone who I have loaned it to loved and subsequently went out and bought it.

I thought the acting was ok, very natural and Paddy Considine is great. The soundtrack is good too, especially the Bonnie "Prince" Billy song.

Such an excellent film. Definitely one of the best revenge movies ever.

Glad I didn't pass it up.
