Hmmm... tough. roll eyes (sarcastic)

jrodslam
Uhhh. Which versios?

Goldenskull777
Ummm. Kyle and normal Superman.

jrodslam
Unless Kyle can make Kryptonite like Hal, He looses BAAAAAAD!

The Flash
If Kyle can make kryptonite, he would win. If not, he loses.

jrodslam
Could Kyle change the molecular structure? I know Hal has no problem doing it. But we at know Kyle isnt on Hals level.

Kyle might have another advantage if he could do that as well.

kgkg
Superman wins

eleveninches
Hal could beat supes, but im not sure about kyle at his current level

masterbruce
who takes it who reigns supreme

The Flash

HAL WINS!

The Flash
Hal states that he has stopped Superman before.

Stops Superman in flight.

Created a shield which can contain Ultra Man. Even Power Girl is not powerful enough to destroy it.

Superman stating that Hal's power is more poweful than Superman's, Wonder Woman's, and Flash's combined.

Defeated Superman and the JLA without much effort.

masterbruce
thanks, Flash for those pics

in the image where superman states "in some ways, GL is more powerful than all of us..." why did they all laugh in the last panel?

The Flash
Flash(Barry) states "Did you forget whose finger that ring is on?" and they all know that it's Hal. It implies that Hal has done many great feats and that he's the greatest Green Lantern.

JWangSDC
1, people can boast anything. No one ever said hal wasn't on par with superman.

2. He just stops superman, that doesn't mean he's more powerful, he holds him for an instant and then superman agrees.

3. Yea that's a strong shield, but it's easy to undermine powergirls power. Superman is def stronger.

4. "In some ways, he's more powerful than all of us". Ok that has been said about civilians with no power also. That doesn't mean much.

5. Uhm ur a big fat ass...cuz he's parrallax there.

2. Just look at Superman's expression. Superman looked like in a hurry and Hal stops him midflight.

3. The shield held Ultraman who is equal to Superman. The only way the people in the shield got out was by magic.

4. Oooookay.

5. All Hal uses is the ring. He doesn't even use one bit of Parallax's power.

O.D Geist
Hal can make Kryptonite with his ring.

Fights over.

Even if he doesnt, we all saw what John did to take Superman out in Rebirth right? If not........

Yes he will muster all his will power than kick supes ass.

Cosmic Cube
I really don't see Superman harming Hal by any means. Hal has him beat in just about every category, especially versatility.

Big Evil
Green Lantern doesn't HAVE to make kryptonite to win.

Just create a force bubble around Supe's head.
He runs out of air and dies.

Unless we're talking pre-crisis Superman where he doesn't have to breathe (And should've been called "God".) in which case ANYTHING is screwed if having to fight against that..

dawsey28
Unless Supes uses speed to knock GL out, then Hal could win by putting Supes in a Kryptonite anything.

ZephroCarnelian
Yeah, Hal can win against Superman - he's the ultimate green lantern.

But the others...? I think Supes has what it takes to beat them.

If you take a look at the first page of this thread you'll see just what Hal can do to a speeding mid-flight Superman.

I AGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT. THE BEST OF THE BEST LANTERNS COULD BEAT SUPERMAN INCLUDING JOHN Stewart BECAUSE HE IS ONE OF THE BEST TOO.OTHER GOOD ENOUGH LANTERNS COULD WIN TOO.FOR NORMAL LANTERNS IT COULD GO EITHER WAY BUT THEY TO MOST LIKELY COULD BEAT SUPERMAN BUT IT DEPENDS ON THE MORE NORMAL LANTERN OR STORY WRITER..

quote-
Comparative strength
quote-

Following the Byrne reboot, Superman's strength tends to fluctuate depending on the amount of solar energy his cells have absorbed and the writer of the particular story. He has received a

temporary boost in power after surviving a plunge into Earth's yellow sun, and has had his powers depleted when deprived of such energy. Although the limits of how much energy

Superman can absorb, and by extension the maximum limits of his power has never been stated, he has moved mountains, and on one occasion flew into the sun, after which he was able
to move the planetoid Pluto when it became Warworld. Additionally, because of the solar energy that empowers him, he has occasionally been depicted as being potentially immortal, or
as having a different aging process, most notably in the DC One Million mini-series.
Characters such as Captain Marvel, Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, and Orion have been described over time as near-equals, equals, or in the first case even slightly more than a
match to the Man of Steel. When the Modern Era Supergirl was introduced, it was suspected that she was stronger than her cousin, but this was due to the fact that Superman had
learned to restrain his strength through years of living with weaker individuals, an ability that Kara Zor-El had not yet learned.
It is important to note that while Superman may arguably be the physically strongest DC hero, there are certain characters who equal or rival his strength, most notably Darkseid, Bizarro,
Lobo, the Cyborg Superman, Eradicator, the original Mongul, General Zod, Shaggy Man/Wade Eiling, and Black Adam, while Doomsday and Despero have occasionally been shown as

stronger, the former being able to effortlessly stand his ground against the entire Justice League, and the latter defeating Superman, Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman, and Power Girl at
the same time. Certain heroes and villains with magical capabilities, like the Spectre, Zatanna, and Doctor Fate, have displayed cosmic level power vastly beyond Superman's
capabilities. The Flash possesses the ability to travel at the speed of light, shunting the required energy towards infinity, and enabling him to perform such feats as defeating a White
Martian with one punch, or almost overcoming the Anti-Monitor single-handedly. Hal Jordan, with the will-fueled power of the Green Lantern ring, has also been cited as being a match
for Superman, being able to lay him down with one punch while possessed by the evil symbiote Parallax. The Guardians of the Universe allegedly possess abilities dwarfing those of
regular Green Lantern Corps members. Kyle Rayner once nearly contained a supernova, and when inhabited by the benevolent symbiote "Ion", was recently touted as the most powerful
of Earth's superheroes, as was its later Daxamite host Sodam Yat.

i got this COMMENT from WEBSITE.
Everything would actually depend on the plot and the writer's script...
Superman (Kal-El) vs Green Lantern (depends on which Green Lantern? There are 7,200 candidates to choose from.)
But among the candidates, Hal Jordan (even if he's not in his Parallax days or even Spectre days ) can beat Superman (which he did
already in the past). John Stewart also defeated Superman during The Green Lantern Rebirth storyline. Alan Scott can also defeat

Superman, because his powers are based on magic. Kyle Rayner can beat Superman during his Ion days, but currently, i don't know. But
then again, everyone knows that Superman's weaknesses are kryptonite, magic, and blocking the sun's yellow radiation. The Green
Lantern Power Ring has the ability to simulate any radiation including kryptonite radiation, so... game over for Superman!

one of the most powerful lanterns-

John Stewart%u2019s ring provides him with the abilities of all other Green Lanterns. These abilities include flight and limited invulnerablility. As with all other Green Lanterns, the ring is a weapon of the mind and powered by will, therefore only limited to the wearer%u2019s imagination. Like all Green Lanterns, Stewart's personality affects his ring's creations, giving them a solid, architectural quality. In Green Lantern: Rebirth, Hal Jordan remarks that "everything John builds is solid". Hal has also remarked that Stewart is the best flyer in the Corps. In Green Lantern 26 it was shown that John's willpower exceeds the limit of his ring (when he tried to recreate a planet from scratch), a feat that has not been discussed before which remains to be seen how this will play upon events in the future.

John Stewart

KNOWN RELATIVES:

GROUP AFFILIATIONS:
Green Lantern Corps, Justice League of America

FIRST APPEARANCE:
Green Lantern v.2 #87 (January 1972)

John has no inherent metahuman abilities but weilds the most powerful weapon in the universe. The Green Lantern's ring channels the immense power of the Guardians of the Universe. From their central power batter, the ring's energy can be used to contain or affect almost all forms of matter and energy. The ring is also frequently used to build solid plasma constructs. The plasma is most often used for force or to construct force fields.

The ring also has a measure of "intelligence." It can be instructed to search for information, and it can propel the wearer at light speed through space. The rings have one crucial weakness: their green energies can not be used against the color yellow. This is because of the presence of Parallax (the universal embodiment fear) inside the central power battery. If the ring's weilder has sufficient will power to overcome fear, the weakness to yellow lessens. In addition, the rings must be purposely recharged every 24 hours.

note-yellow is not a weakness anymore

THAT'S ALL I HAVE TO SAY ON THIS.
BYE FOLKS.
