I saw the movies last night. And after the part when Anakin Killed the younglings i got pissed. After the movie alot of poeple i didnt know talked with me about the movies and they agree with me.. The could have left that part to the Droids. dont get me wrong I liked the movie I gust dont like that part..

Xam
please,dont start on this,lol
the movie is wut it is

Ness
i dont think they should have put that in there .. i mean they are kids

Ben-Kenobi
they are kids and i know what your saying but its just showing how badly the emperor messed up anakins head

Xam
i found that scene very important, just to prove wut ben-kenobi said

mephistodesigns
it shows the depth of his evil, leaving no doubt in your mind that he is in fact EVIL. Good plot point if you ask me. I think they should have shown him waste a bunch of other Jedi too though. That segment was like 20 seconds long. It needed to be longer to have a better impact.

Ness
i know thats what my friend said.. but still i think they could have had the droids.. I mean i like the dark side but that was over the top Now i know why it was PG-13

mephistodesigns
i don't get why this is bad to show...he's evil. evil sith kill people. Kids are no exception. if they hadn't shown that everyone would call him a "wuss" or whatever they're whining about poor Hayden these days.

ApolloX
I love that scene.

LandoSpeeder2
I might have more of a problem with it if that saber sound wasn't so AWESOME! besides, if it wasn't in the movie, it would be a deleted scene and we'd all be mad a GL for not putting it in.

Y-chromo kid
I was disturbed by it and that is precisely why it should remain in. Evil, nasty people do evil, nasty things. I'm so glad George had the guts to do it. My heart sank when that poor little kid came up to Anakin asking for help. One of the most effective Star Wars scenes.

JediMasterRetro
I thinkt its glorious scene that shows how he has changed by killing inocent and its not like we see him slice their bodies

mephistodesigns
well put! I was always sympathetic to Vader growing up, but when I saw him marching into the Temple I was just like "you piece of crap, how could you do that". And then the kids, just like you said, my hear sank. I wanted to yell "run little kid RUN!"

Heres the thing. We all know that darth vadr was a bad ass, but as bad ass as he is, you always say to yourself "he wouldnt kill children though" well now his bad ass-ness is confirmed.

The transformation of anakin to darth vadar was a porrly written and rushed presentation. Killing the younglings was actually one of the only instances where you understand how much anakin has changed. It showed that his humanity was all but gone. Isee you dont have a problem with the decapitations or severing of arms, but the insinuation that ankin kills children is to much? It was a 2 second scene, maybe it is your imagination you dont like, because it diddnt show him killing children

The only thing bad about that scene is the stupid youngling...

god I hate child actors...

Darth Elmo
I thought it was the best part of the whole movie, it really helped show why he went to the dark side, they didn't get the PG-13 rateing because of of the language {LOL}, it showed that Anakin had gone compleatly to the other side of the force, to the point that there was no love, or kindness, or mercy left in him, which is where we get the Darth Vader we all know and love!!

The Thing what pissed me off was that after he did ALL the killing in the Temple he just goes back to Padme as if nothing as happened, he didnt seem Dark at all..

vader519
Well the reason he asks like nothin happened when he goes to see Padme is because he does not want her to know what he has done, otherwise she will be upset at him and hate him for what he did. She ends up finding out what he did after Obi-wan tells her. Look Ness, the movie was not PG-13 just from taht scene, it is the other violence in the movie too. If there were not that much viloence in the movie and this scene were in it, it still would have been PG. I think it is a very key part to the mive just to show how evil Anakin is. The scene is not violent any ways because we do not see Anakin kill the m at all. Tell me, what would the differnece have been if the troopers had kill them, there would still be some outrage. It is one of the best scenes in the movie.

Insomnia
Only after the massacre could Anakin be strong enough in the dark side to achieve the power he believed would allow him to save padme's life.

To not hesitate, to not show mercy, to kill the younglings, all sacrifices that he must make to harness his true potential as a sith.

mysterio69
well, palpy said that every jedi was an enemy of the republic. those little pukes were jedi in traing, so...off with there heads! devil

Kids aren't invincible. Kids die all the time.

Besides, you knew the Jedi were going to die, and you knew there were kid Jedi since Episode I. Why were people shocked by this?

I'm glad Lucas didn't sugar coat this movie. We didn't need to see the kids get killed, but we needed to know they all died.

And they were called "younglings". They had to go.

NESS = TARD

ShadowKing
It was so non-fan people would get that Anakin was not just kinda maybe bad but that he was over the line out of his mind bad...

like I overheard at one viewing when the yung ling asks what they should do and the saber snaps on

"...oh no! Not the children!"

Lucas knows what he's doing...we're just too jaded I think

Darth MoonPIE
Just because he didn't like that part don't put him down or try to convince him of otherwise, I agree that it was effective in showing anakins complete embrace of the darkside but its never 'cool' or 'neat' to imply or show the killing of children or anyone for that matter.

I liked the movie but think about what you say before you say it, 'horror movies to get used to it' think, use your brains, I might get flamed for this post but.. at least you know im not a sick person who thinks children getting slaughtered is 'cool'.

This is directed to everyone in general not just the person I was quoting

The droids would have been ineffective against them.

Ananbelle
OH that part was so sad!!!!! But the whole reason it's in there is to show Anakin becoming more and more evil. I was a little confused when the little jedi came out and tried to attack the droids...Cuzz i thought He was killed by Anakin with the other kids. But then I saw the group of ... dead ... kids and I reallized that he must've been some escapee or something along those lines.

That's just the thing though, he did hesitate. He wasn't doing it because he was evil or because he hated the Jedi, he was doing it out of love...some sick, twisted form of it anyway.

It still seems to me like that scene was really out of place. Killing kids isn't bad-@$$. Cowards can kill kids.

Vader's supposed to be intimidating, strong, bad-@$$. Not creepy next-door neighbor that molests and kills kids.

Darkside_lover
hey...ur a sadist...lyk me!laughinghaha...loved that part...

Thorondor
Am i the only one who found that part amusing? lol i mean come on he comes up to anakin and says "there's to many of them what are we going to do?" voooommmmmm

laughing out loud i'm sorry but the "oh shit" look on the kids face cracked me up lol.

DARTH STEVIOUS
He also killed the younglings to stop the future jedi that is a key plot point. Its not just the fact they are kids its the fact that they where the future of the jedi. The base on the lightsaber was awesome i really like that scene i think they could have had a few more jedi being killed. Also on the game u see the old lady that is in charge of the jedi archives being killed by anakin i think that should have been in the movie cause if u think about it no main character we know got killed by anakin. Apart from padame but that was a slow death and she also wanted to die at that point.

Sesse
lol. It is a movie...

Yet still, I find it quite amusing to imagine anakin's blue lightsaber gutting those little nuisances.

ickeris2003
that sceen rocks rock

I think it was essential to the movie. If it got you pissed off then it did its job. Seriously this movie touched on the evil that is the SITH.

Also Anakin would not have gone and done that himself. It was Darth Vader that was consuming him. They showed how Darth Vader consumed his every thought, his every action, his every greedy ambition as he even told Padme that "We can rule the GALAXY TOGETHER"

He was even plotting against Emperor Palpatine because the more he killed the more powerful he felt.

Not to mention, those younglings would have beat the crap out of normal troopers. You saw what one youngling did to like two troopers before he was shot by them.

No the movie is perfect in showing what PURE EVIL is! Its Evil to kill children and the SITH are EVIL. It shows that EVIL has no consious and I would have it no other way.

Below is the definition of Evil. How do you convey Evil?

Lucus got it right!

EVIL The Definition:

Morally bad or wrong; wicked: an evil tyrant.
Causing ruin, injury, or pain; harmful: the evil effects of a poor diet.
Characterized by or indicating future misfortune; ominous: evil omens.
Bad or blameworthy by report; infamous: an evil reputation.
Characterized by anger or spite; malicious: an evil temper.

n.
The quality of being morally bad or wrong; wickedness.
That which causes harm, misfortune, or destruction: a leader's power to do both good and evil.
An evil force, power, or personification.
Something that is a cause or source of suffering, injury, or destruction: the social evils of poverty and injustice

reverence
Does anyone have a picture of the kids???

The Inkeeper
The enemy needs to be destoyed.

Women and children are no exception. Ever, if they are going to grow up and become a threat they have to go down.

Put it this way, your a jedi child, just wathced all the jedi die by anakins hand, who are you gonna go after when you grow up? exactly!

Either that or everybody was a little trigger happy like My Lai in the Vietnam war....orders need to be followed.
