LordFear
Dude why would you post that battle ?
Then again I got my ass chewed for the Sinister vs Blade thread.
Anyway....Logan

WOLVERINEFAN
i'm just checking for any idiots who think kraven will win

Zahit
in open battle, no prep, wolverine would win.
if kraven had time to prepare, he'd win.

HA HA HA HA HA HA
God Almighty please tell me you are joking!!!
No dice pal!!!!
That chump with all the prep in the world can't take SM down.
Heck the Canadian government with Alpha Flight can't take Logan down
with any months in advance half baked scheme.
You think this hack got a chance?
Yeah maybe with the help of Doom.

Kraven HAS taken Spiderman out with prep.
He even buried him alive.

Born into an aristocracy that had come to an end,
Kraven became one of the world's greatest hunters to fulfill
his sense of lost nobility. But he became bored and wanted
a different kind of trophy on his wall. The trophy was Spider-mans head.
Kraven gained power by drinking rare and exotic jungle elixirs.
These elixirs gave him the strength and speed of a savage beast
all the better to catch Spider-man with.

After numerous battles Kraven finally defeated Spider-man
and buried Spider-man alive, he then took Spider-mans black costume
and started to live the life of the wall crawler. This was to prove that he
was a better Spider-man than the original. He hunted and defeated
the creature called Vermin, something Spider-man was not able to
do without the aid of Captain America.

Spider-man eventually clawed out from his grave and attacked Kraven.
But Kraven did not retaliate because he had already won.
Kraven released Vermin onto the streets, and Spider-man pursued
the rodent. Convinced he had finally regained his honor, the deranged
Kraven took his own life.

Where did you get that quote?
From what source?
I never knew that he did such a thing.
I saw them fight numerous times but SM in the end always outwitted him somehow.
Well learn something new everyday huh folks?

Bad. Ass.

Zahit
the quote is from:

http://www.spiderfan.org/characters/kraven.html

It is accurate, because i used to have that storyline (still might).
Kraven wanted to "regain his honor" from his failed life so to speak.
He set an extremely elaborate series of traps in central park,
and proceeded to DESTROY Spiderman. Buried him alive in some
drug-induced/physically beaten coma.
Kraven "regained" his honor by masquerading
and fighting crime as Spiderman......hunting down the dangerous Vermin.
When Spidey clawed out of his grave he confronted and started
to whoop Kraven. He didn't fight back. He made peace with Spiderman.
Made peace with himself. Then took a rifle......
and so on and so forth.....so yes......
if Kraven really wanted to.....he could've destroyed Wolverine.

Zahit
Spiderman usually outwits everyone......but even Spiderman's human.

derrick24
imo; wolverine would destroy kraven. Both are hunters both have sense, kraven has the edge in strength while wolverine has the edge in durability and adamantium skeleton and fighting skills.
What he did to spiderman doesnt prove anything. Kingpin had spiderman in the barehug squezzing the life out of him spiderman said "i am blacking out i have to find a way to get out of this hold" but does that mean kingpin could beat wolverine, no it doesnt. Wolverine would slaughter king pin and kraven, easily.

The problem with these discussions is that people aren't real objective. Wolverine is a character who has been vastly overexposed. Familiarity leads to contempt and as such many are going to say he can be beaten by most characters. It is pointless to argue with such persons.

In addition to the above tendency to skew the outcome of such a battle, the facts appear to be in dispute. In recent additions of the Marvel Universe Wolverine is listed as having enhanced strength, reflexes, and agility. Yet in the old editions he is said to be just a regular guy. That is because the editor of the old Marvel Universe circa 1987 overlooked the fact that a regenerative healing factor would make a person enormously strong, and the tensile strength of an unbreakable skeleton would allow for even greater strength. This mistake was corrected in later editions such as the Master Edition issue 4, but the damage is done. Wolverine is at least as strong as Vermin (enhanced). Spiderman is still at least 6 times as strong as Wolverine. Kraven is somewhat weaker but still at least 3 times as strong as Logan.

So here are accurate stats for the characters:

Wolverine has enhanced strength, agility, and reflexes (Enhanced is the level between truly superhuman and olympic level human). Wolverine is roughly as strong as Vermin who can lift about 1000 pounds. He has a regenerative healing ability and hieghtened senses. He is familiar with virtually all forms of hand to hand combat. He is also an expert with ranged weapons.

Kraven the Hunter (when juiced up) has truly superhuman strength and can lift a few tons. His agility, and reflexes are in the olympic range. He has keen senses which may be enhanced by his potion. He is an excellent hand to hand combatant familiar with several styles of fighting. Kraven is a very cheap fighter and will stoop to drugging his opponents. Kraven is a master of ranged weapons.

Both characters have superior intelligence. Kraven seems to me to be the better strategist. However, Logan can also think strategically and would be superior tactically. They would be about equal in terms of stealth and tracking.

Based on this information, I would be tempted to say this fight would go down similarly to a duel between Wolverine and Sabretooth (who is at least as strong as Kraven). However Kraven would use better strategy and more ranged attacks. So there would be a difference. Kraven also lacks a healing factor.

I would see Kraven setting up an elaborate trap and believing that he had Wolverine. Then when he springs the trap Wolverine would not be as effected by it as Kraven guessed and Kraven would regroup and come back with better weaponry. Some where during all of this I would imagine that he would try to drug Wolverine or overload his healing factor with bubonic plague or something to even the odds a little.

I could honestly see Kraven managing to gravely injure Wolverine in this way, but ultimately Wolverine is going to get annoyed and decapitate him.

The main reason Spiderman had difficulty fighting Kraven is that Spiderman doesn't normally try to kill people. Wolverine is not Spiderman.
