Besides technical problems in special FX of the time, there are no clones in Episodes 4, 5 and 6. We only see stormtroopers and other military but no clones. So what happened to them? Did they all died during the star wars after Episode 3 and before 4? Probably the rebels destroyed the clone factories or maybe the Death Star blasted Kamino?

Why does it matter?

My theory is that the Empire decides that, instead of using Jango's DNA which served the Republic well in terminating the Jedi, they will recruit real people much stupider and worse shots than the clones...

Well, the actual CLones from the tiem age and die.

But the Stormtroopers in the originals are Clones also, so the concept stays.

I thought that the stormtroopers were just the clone troopers with a different name and armor.

You are incorrect. GL said himself that they are ALL clones. The Imperial Academy is for the training of specialists and pilots.. officers..etc etc. Like Death star gunners, Star destroyer commanders, or those idiots operating the shield generator on endor. "Rebal Scum!!!!!"

The clones we see in ep 2 and 3 eventually die off and others replace them. The replacements were of lesser quality, thats why their aim sucked.

Actually, the stormtroopers are really clone troopers. I think they're the average clone trooper.

Totally killed the character for me. That, and the saber FX are the reason I watch my VHSs instead of the DVDs...

If the OT Stormies are really the Clones from the Prequels, it makes ROTJ (awful film IMO) even more pathetic.
They would have killed those Ewoks without even trying.
But I hate ROTJ anyway, by far the most predictable, boring and goody-kissy-everythingisfinenowy film. But that's not the point here.
Maybe the most satisfying answer would be, that there are both: recruited troops to stabilise the Empire: If the executive forces comes from within the community, a rebellion is less likely.
And there are still the Clones, too.

Again: there is no reason to believe they are not clones. And yes, so they forgot how to gwet their aim right. Maybe Gl was trying to make a plea against cloning, showing that they degenerate...

In my opinion there is also no reason to believe that they are clones...

i dont think they are clones, they are different heights and they discuss a vp type hovercar on board the death star. clones wouldnt do that.

We will find out in the Staw Wars TV series, they wil explaine it there

Maybe they'll explain how Yoda gets to be so small too...

People, GL is making this saga up as he goes. I am quite sure he never thought of the stormtroopers to be clones when he made ANH. And now... they are.
Much the same this I don't believe GL thought of Anakin to be a child when he started his Jedi training, but more persuaded by OB1 to learn about the force. ("follow old OB1 on some damn fool idealistic crusade).

maybe in their maturation chambers they were all given teddy bears...so they didnt have the heart to slaughter the ewoks...lol...

Not all the stormtroopers are clones.
The clones that were left became stormtroopers, and more people joined the ranks, most likely through an academy like luke wanted to go to.

Well, if you want to go by what Lucas says, then the stormtroopers are indeed all clones of Jango Fett. Lucas says in the AOTC commentary that they deliberately have Jango bump his head while getting on to his ship, to link him with one of the stormtroopers who bumps his head in episode IV. Lucas comments that it would be funny to think that such a trait would be passed through to all the stormtroopers in later episodes.
