I think Jim Carrey is one of the best actors working right now. The Acadamy Awards don't take him seriously just because he does comedies. But he is so good in them.

His next film is called "The Magestic". It's a drama directed by Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile). It looks like its gonna be good.

Man on the Moon for his dramatic abilities and Dumb and Dumber for his comedy. And I can't wait for his new movie.

I think The Truman Show was his best drama.

It's hard to beat the first Ace Ventura. The opening scene when he is kicking that box around, They almost had to throw me out of the theator because I was laughing so hard.

Man on the Moon and as the Riddler in Batman Forever. What's his worst? I'd say Ace Ventura 2.

The Riddler??? I think his best performance thus for has to be Truman in The Truman show.. He did well as Andy Kaufman but I didn't enjoy the movie.

as for Ace..you know ya have to start out somewhere..everyone has crap begginings like that...

He was great as the riddler! His hair was a bit weird though.

Actualy....the majestic has gotten very bad reviewes.
But Jim Carrey is still a good actor,.....he is very funny

And it didn't make much money. It's at No10 I think.

I actually liked his performance in "The Mask".

But Ace Ventura and Dumb, dumber were great too.

And I think he was a litle irritabel in "The cable Guy".

Whats the matter with Jim, he seems to have lost his comic edge in this film. Its short around 80min (if that) & I don't remember much of it & no I wasn't drunk.

I like both but I don't think he is worth 20-30million a picture after seeing Bruce Almighty.

I think he could have been in Dumb & Dumberer & have more laughs, what ya think?

Haven't seen Bruce yet, it's not out here for another couple of weeks.

I think Jim Carrey is a good stand-up comedian and does ok in dramas like Majestic (i think thats the name) but in comedies he just repeats himself way to much. His to fisical in them and his fisical jokes and dialoge placement,the way the says the words and breaks the senteces, is always the same.

Still think he looks and acts the same in all the comedies his made.I like him better in dramas.

yeh they give a different level to the drama. i guess its not that over acting that most actors do in dramas.

Well I liked bruce almighty

I thought more out-takes at the end were needed from this film.

My fav Jim performance is Man On The Moon, Majestic was alright, a complete change from anything he has done before. (you almost forget you are watching Jim, funny man)

He is no Tom Hanks for sure & here is something to think about, Would you agree Jim was NOT nominated for an Oscar for either Truman or Man On The Moon because he made a joke about the Oscars in 'The Mask'?

Or just because he is Canadian, hmm.

I think its just hard for the academy to take him serious, but really, who cares what the academy thinks anyways?

I don't really like Jim Carrey much anymore. I think he is way over-rated. Bruce Almighty wasn't nearly as funny as I expected it to be and it was way too short. Aren't Disney movies suppossed to be that length?????~

Bruce Almighty was Brilliant i have just watched it and couldnt believe how funny he is becoming again after a few bad movies man on the moon and the majestic

I thought that Bruce Almighty was one of the best movies ever made. For two reasons Jim Carrey and it was shot in my home town here in good old Buffalo NY. They decided to only shoot some location shots here and Jim Carrey never shot here but did visit to see the town.

I love Jim. Truman show is one of the best movies ever. Man on the moon was a little confusing but i think i liked it. Hahaha.

Try watching Ace Ventura in Spanish, especially if you don't understand much Spanish. It's like watching those old martial arts movies with the really bad dubbing. It's hilarious.

The two Ace Ventura movie's are my fave's. He is exellent at doing the William Shatner impression.

i liked him in two movies - the mask & the batman movie that he was in. i think i liked the mask, because i liked the music. i think i liked him in batman, because he couldn't be as over the top, since he wasn't in the leading role (& i kinda liked the tommy lee jones/jim carrey combo).

well, i didn't say it was one of my favorites. however, if i had to pick on of the batman movies, it would be the one. just meant that jim carrey's role in that particular movie was less over the top. i like the cast in that movie (tommy lee jones, val kilmer, nicole kidman), but, no, i'm not a big fan of the batman franchise.

jim carrey did an interview with david letterman once and he did this whole thing were jim, david and the audience would not say a word for a couple minutes, so they were just sitting there, not doing anything. then when they wanted to show a clip from his new movie, he showed the clip on a projector on his head because he was balled for the movie he was makin. it just sat their with his head down and the clip playing.
thats why i've worshiped him since i was a toddler, i even act like him, the day i get to meet him would be one of the greatest days of my life, it sounds weird but i've been a fan since i was like 4.

So i saw eternal sunshine finally, and he doees a magnificent job. Maybe he'll finally get an Oscar nomination.
