Sids Barley? Is he a comedian, or is that a new whole grain meal?

Hm. This is your first day and you've already made a thread. My suggestion: thoroughly check spelling unless you're on fire or being evicted while typing up a post; and try to put such fights into context. DE Sidious versus Darth Bane is a bit vague. I could say Bane wins this because DE Sidious was shot in the back by Han Solo.

He is good. Kinda cheap, if from what I heard he can basically throw people off planet. That kinda makes even Bane look like a wuss, I suppose. But I haven't read the Dark Empire series (though I definately plan to)

location yavin 4 sids can hold a lightsaber better then in rots so they will start with a force battle sidious will do some damage to bane since sids is a master of the force and has a 30 year old body which is way stronger then a 65 year old one then they go to a lightsaber dual sids will barley lose and then he will get pissed with 9 fingers left make a mini force storm to kill bane or something like that. is that what you meant :try to put such fights into context?

And that above comment was about DE Sidious. Bane, from what little I know of him, was clever, a survivor (escaped death twice) and had some kind of messed up cortosis weave armor that was resistant to lightsaber blows and fueled him with adrenaline.

He kinda did, but no worse than me on my bad days. But what he did wrong was say something about mods where they could see it. And then came back under a different SN and acted totally out of line, ensuring his permanent vaca from KMC. A shame, really.

I dunno much about Darth Bane - other than that he revolutionized the Sith Order with the master and apprentice rule - as well as the title of Darth. Until KOTOR came along, lol.

Dark Empire Sidious is kind of like Nihilius. I don't see how anyone can really defeat or kill him - simply because Nihilius drains their Force powers and Sidious can hurl people across time and space.

But. Nihilius met his demise - as did Sidious. Sidious was shot in the back by Han Solo while Sidious was taking on (and defeating) Luke's Jedi Order. He nearly killed Luke himself and moved in for Anakin Solo. But Han, enraged, shot him in the back. Sidious then lunged for the baby, dying, ready to transfer his consciousness into him.

But some Jedi (I can't remember his long first time) named Brand intercepted Sidious and held him back long enough for Sidious to die a supposedly final death. But Brand died in the process.

There is one on Wikipedia. Look up Sidious - and Palpatine's biography will show up. It is a long and detailed synopsis, perhaps the longest I've seen in a Star Wars character. Go there, and you will see it. I think it is located in his "Table of Contents".

you can go to star wars website and look up darth sidouse and find art work and all that or go to fan websites and google is pretty good if you clik on the picture and look at the websites below the pic that is sometimes good 2

Bane mops the floor with Sids.

He probably would with a regular Sidious - but the Force Storm ability is a heavy hitter in this duel. Like I said, I don't know much about Darth Bane - other than his revolutions and that he survived the Thought Bomb. But Nihilus and possibly Ragnos are the only people who might survive the Force Storm ability.

Yeah I hate that there isn't more info on Bane so we could evaluate this further. Hey Somebody, did you get my PM?

darth bane and bandon aren't the same people from KOTOR are they?

no bane is way stronger

Bandon was Malak's apprentice and bane reformed the Sith Cult.

Doesn't really matter in this case, although I say it'd take a couple of minutes to reach full power, at the least.

The reason it's of little significance is because Sidious isn't going to be able to use a full-fledged storm without killing himself in the process. It all comes down to dueling skill in terms of Force and lightsaber abilities.

They're not. Only his physical attributes. Strength, speed, agility, etc. It's the Kaiburr crystal that grants him his newfound power. In this case, I'm going to have to say that I cannot come to a conclusion.

I thought his power increased by ROTJ because he got all the sith lore he could get his hands on. And I have not heared of the Kyber crystal antwhere outside of Supershadow.

And it is featured in both the work of crap that is "Splinter of the Mind's Eye" and the DE Series. So read up. Although they are both utter crap. . .

Better fight would be RotS Sidious vs Bane, Bane woudl still fall but at least not as quickly IMHO.
