Ragnos or Plagueis?

I know everybody says that Ragnos is the most powerful force user. I am not argueing against that, but Plagueis could stop people from dying. He could also use the force to create life. Marka Ragnos couldn't do that, so shouldn't Plagueis be considered the most powerful force user?

Different Strengths I suppose, It's kind of like asking who's smarter between an Astrophysicist and a neurosurgeon. Who knows? Course Ragnos has had more time to gather fanboys so I'm guessing most will argue in his favor.

Illustrious
In a versus fight? Ragnos wins.

As far as manipulating midichlorians, how is that necessarily a unique ability? Sith Alchemy created great monstrosities of the dark side, would that not involve midi-chlorians?

You have Sidious' rumor that he could stop death, that was never once established. In fact, since he was using it to attempt to sway Anakin, who feared death, it seems more than likely that he didn't develop a method for it.

Outside of Palpatine's word or a line in the NEC, there's nothing on Plagueis, he's more ambiguous than Ragnos -- whom we know at least to possess terrifying power.

As far as manipulating life, I find what Sadow did to be far more impressive than Plagueis.

see what I mean.

Darth Traya
Actually, Ragnos had the ability to use his staff to return people to life, so Plageous' ability is probably just an Ancient Sith one...

If you'd like to imply that I was a fanboy of Marka Ragnos, I'd like for you to point out one fallacious argument I gave in that statement.

I'm supposed to say Plagueis because he supposedly could stop death? Or that he could manipulate midichlorians? What do you think Sith Alchemy does?

And as Traya mentions, Marka Ragnos' scepter was able to ressurect people, infuse non-force users with the ability to use the force, and drain and store the force from entire planets.

Weren't you the one that was attempting to argue that because we don't know much about Ragnos, we can't say anything (even though that everything we do know puts him at a higher pedastal when juxtaposed to everyone else)?

Wow, tables turned there.

Not at all what I was implying, I was just saying that there would be more support for Ragnos than for Plagueis. From what we know Ragnos is probably stronger, but its still apples and oranges. The 2 had different focuses and different strengths and we just don't know enough.

PurpleSaber
Well if we take Sidious's word to be true, then he assasinated Plagueis in his sleep. Thus, Plagueis wasn't able to do his life-saving shit on himself. Since Marka Ragnos died of natural causes, couldn't he have been able to save himself from death if infact he had that power? However, I am not sure if you can save yourself from death. That is just an assumption I made.

Captain REX
We know very little of Ragnos, and NOTHING of Plagueis. Safe to say that Ragnos wins.

Lörd Sorgo
UNSAFE to say that Ragnos wins.

Nor Tulak Hord or Plagueis should ever be used in Versus threads.

We don't know anything about them, therefore it is impossible to pit them against other characters when they do not have visible techniques or traits.
