i am refering to the final episode, the end of the serries, nothing else.

If you go simply by what the Shinigami stated in his reasoning it was quite along the lines of what he intended. To kill sometime from bordem. What i would have liked to see is what happened to Light's soul or something since it was stated that those who use a death note can neither go to heaven or hell.
