I'm bored so I decided to make this, as the title states its: Revan vs Caedus.

- Its the Post KOTOR version of Revan

- This is Caedus at his peak power (his duel with Jaina I assume)

1. Straight Saber Duel

2. Force Battle

3. All out

- It takes place on Yavin IV in Sadows temple.

I'm personally going to go with Revan because to put it bluntly Caedus is a puss, for all his vaunted esentric force powers he never uses them in battle, and whenever he's shown actually fighting he's getting the holy hell beat out of him. Really now, Mara Jade whooped his ass, he managed to put up a fight against an injured Luke but even then he was still utterly murked by Luke who spared his life, and finally I assume *LOTF INVINCIBLE SPOILER CAUTION* that lamer Jaina Solo beats him fairly.

Discuss.

I'm going to go with Revan as well.

But was Jaina really that much of a "lamer"? From what I've read... she's one of the more combative characters in the series.

Saber: Both are extremely high end duelists. Despite Ceadus constantly getting his butt kicked, he has shown himself to be a capable duelist. He effortlessly beat 4 jedi at once including Katarn despite being injured. Revan has also shown herself to be a great duelist by taking down Malak, Ysansis (whatevr), Bastila, Juhani, etc I'm undecided on this.

He beat four Jedi but then lost to Jaina? According to Wookiepedia the first time they fought she chopped off his arm.

Jacen has a broader spectrum of force abilities (thanks to the stupidity of the LOTF authors), but Revan had more of a command of the dark side as well as force mastery. Jacen DEFINITELY takes the saber duel though.

This is Post-KOTOR Revan, he doesn't have any command of the dark side.

5 years is NOT enough time to "fully master the force" so I'm going to go with Revan, B/C Caedus is made of fail and aids.

Revan takes this. If Jaina Solo can beat him Revan can as well.

Let's be honest Traviss made Jaina seem unremarkable. I mean, she goes to Boba Fett for advice on killing Jedi? Since when did any notable Jedi go to a Mandalorian bounty hunter - off all people - for advice on taking out a force user? Terrible writing from Traviss and a shout out to thewookipedia editors who saved me the effort of reading this masterful piece of SW fiction.

On top of that she's getting surprised in melee combat by a non force sensitive, it's unbelievable. Mace Windu would have made short work of Boba in a melee fight, Jaina gets humiliated time and again by Fett and his Mandos.

I thought that Karen Traviss was no longer cannon on this forum.

She is when Jaina in training for Jacen, is being humiliated by Mandos. Jacen (if he's a self respecting Sith) shouldn't get beat in a straight fight by someone like that.

When Revan's memory returns so does his knowledge of all his previous techniques that he had during his tenure as the Dark Lord. What he chooses to use is up to him since theres no post KOTOR source saying he "doesn't use dark powers" we can speculate that he'd still use them. And before the "He was a perfect Jedi" non sense comes in he choose to leave the order once again, so he wasn't a little goody two shoes Jedi who was a puppet of the council.

I'll admit I haven't read much of LOTF but based on his fight with Jaina, I really wouldn't say he is a true beast at saber dueling, from what I read of the duel they were pretty damn even, and thats no saying alot cause she had no major duels and focused on piloting till she gets some training from Boba Fett and all of a sudden thats enough to take on a Dark Lord? My question to you would be do you think SHE could also beat Revan in a saber duel?

Eh Jaina also had a mandalorian shoto and certain skills Jacen wasn't prepared for, and Jacen had one arm and was trying to save Tenel Ka and Allana. It was by no means an even fight because Jacen is definitely superior to Jaina, but Jaina took advantage of the "any given Sunday" clause.

I am in a small bit of confusion about this as well. He beat katarn when katarn had three other jedi's on his side? that's seriously overpowered...

Well apparently his command of the Force exceeds Darth Vader's, and his lightsaber skills are exceptionally formidable, so yeah. LotF authors suck.

So whata botu when she chopped off his arm the first time? Or was that the part where she took advantageof the PIS clause?

both times jaina fought caedus, she landed a crippling blow before the duel began. The first time, she shot him in the arm with a sniper rifle, and he had only one arm to fight with, (before she later chopped it off... which is funny... because the book says: "but Caedus once again anticipated her attack, and shifted to take her attack on his injured shoulder, rather than his neck" and that cuts off his arm.... Doesn't sound like he anticipated squat, and if he did, "taking the blow on his shoulder " sounds a lot like "I cleverly blocked his punch with my eye"

The second time they fight, Jaina sticks her lightsaber through his stomach before he realizes she is there. So they never actually fight on even terms.

Jacen did rock her world pretty handily, given the fact that he just took a lightsaber to the gut.
