I love how everyone ignores my team battle threads >_>
mnat801
I'd say team 1 wins with difficulty. If Maul can take out Savage quickly, then he could help Vader with Galen Marek, while Sidious defeats Dooku
axel_jovan
So...this is OT Sidious and CW Maul.
In this case, as already seen:
OT Sids > Galen
Maul > Oppress
Vader seems to be more powerful in the Force than Dooku. On the other hand, Dooku holds an advantage in sabers. Very close battle in all-out, but even if Dooku wins, he'll be seriously maimed. Than he faces Palpatine and Maul and gets mauled.
Team one takes it.
DARTH POWER
Palpatine is the strong link here.
Plus Maul has shown he can take Opress really damn quickly. So Maul is going to help double team someone.
And if this is CW Maul let's not forget he is pretty powerful in the Force as well so he's far from a non-factor among all these powerhouses.
So yeah, Team 1 comfortably Imo.
Nephthys
Team 1 pretty handily. Palps > Marek, Vader > Dooku and Maul > Opress.

I'm sorry, really, but I can't help but wonder, did ANY of you read the stats on the bottom? And I'm talking about every character to their full known potentials in every dimension.

Stats from Wookieepedia don't count, as Wookieepedia doesn't have sources.
People just make up whatever stuff they want there, for the lulz.
NemeBro
Darth Maul is seven feet tall?
Nephthys
He's short as hell in the movie from what I recall.
NemeBro
That is what had me going "whaaaaaaaaat".
His actor sure as shit wasn't as tall as Sir Christopher Lee.
DARTH POWER
It's probably referring to CW Maul with the huge cybernetic legs.
Eminence
Sweet Jesus you're snarky.
but in the event that you're genuinely confused; no, nobody cares about the flavor text. Their inclusion is a commendable effort on your part, but they're never consulted or used and probably never will be. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be though, and I share your frustration. I picked Cyndaquil as my starter in version, and when he grew into a Typhlosion I waited very patiently for him to learn some unique Fire-type "explosion" or "eruption" (later introduced in the 4th Gen, apparently). But alas, it wasn't to be.
^ and I'm not entirely making fun of you, although our interests here may completely diverge. If Machamp could actually punch shit over the horizon or throw five hundred punches a second I'd still be buying the games.

Every dimension, you say?
Yet penile statistics remain disturbingly elusive. This is unacceptable. uhuh
Eminence
well we don't want to embarrass Darth Maul.
he might kill your family.

The_Tempest
Doesn't sound like something he'd do tbh ermm
Eminence
talking shit about your penis, killing your mom... Maul, Anakin... you and your family, sand people village.
boom.
Do you have an e-copy/source for Shadow Conspiracy?
The_Tempest
Particular scans, yes. But not the whole thing.
Eminence
Did you know that there's an upcoming episode of The Clone Wars called "Eminence?"
What's the tag for that real smirky, balloon-faced emoticon Blax always uses?
Sybrael
I listed all of these force powers and saber abilities because they WERE, in fact, deployed. I actually READ as much as I can before I post this stuff

It's the first of 3 episodes which the novel Darth Maul: Shadow Conspiracy covers.
DARTH POWER
Actually the 2nd of 4 episodes. The first one -Revival was the season opener.

Palps vs. Dooku: Palpatine
Vader vs. Marek: Marek
Maul vs. Oppress: Maul stomps effortlessly
Maul and Vader vs. Marek: The duo have the advantage. And before this is finished Palps would have vaporized his apprentice, and will come to curb stomp Galen in a horrific 3v1
The problem here is Savage is a significant weak link here. Palpatine would shit on him, Vader would destroy him, and Maul has already proven the ability to curbstomp him with absolutely no difficulty.
The_Tempest
On the other hand, Savage essentially ragdolled Obi-Wan and Anakin together in season 3. Between that and Opress's defeat of Adi, I personally like to think that the gulf between him and Maul isn't that extreme.
NewGuy01
I find this to be rather obvious. Vader could take out both Savage and Dooku in a 1 on 1 fight, and he could at least hold Galen off for a good amount of time.
Palpatine could definitely take all 3 in a 1 on 1 fight, no problem.
Maul could evidently defeat Opress, however, he could not defeat either of the other fighters.
The fact still remains that Palpatine could comfortably defeat Galen, Vader could defeat Dooku, and Maul could defeat Opress.
Obvious win, imo.
Sybrael
I developed my own little theory on this, rofl;
Palpatine fired lightning at Opress, and while Marek deflected it in defense of Opress in a relatively simple manner, Palpatine merely dismissing the returning bolt. As Vader approached, he took a step back, holding his own against Marek's assaults.
Maul engaged Opress, who used more caution after his first try in a space station. He twirled his fatal lightsaber above his head, and as he moved forward and backed his brother away, his body slammed into Maul, sending him down. As he reached up, ready to impale his floored brother, Maul defended himself, and while Opress was open, he kicked him away with his cybernetic legs, also Force pushing him in the process.
While Dooku managed to prove a worthy challenge against Palpatine in saber combat, Palpatine's sacred Battle Meditation and force adaptations sent him aback in counters.
Marek attempted repulsing Vader away, who merely used the Force to block himself. While Vader's defensive hand was extended, Marek used a fast and decisive saber to rip through the palm. Quickly, as Vader had his right arm raised for a slamming Djem So blow, Marek grabbed Vader's body and used his strength--which was amplified by his Force potential--to push him back. He spun and used the elegant Saber Throw in an attempt to cut Vader's mask. As the gothic Black Knight crouched, the saber was directed at the nearby Palpatine.
Palpatine turned his head while in a saber block, grinning. Quickly, he maneuvered out of the way of Dooku's saber like fast-moving liquid and the saber crashed into Dooku's blade. Dooku was staggered and sent stumbling away. While Dooku regained his balance, Palpatine rushed forward, now both lightsabers armed.
As Vader rushed forward and swung at Marek, the Sith Stalker leaped up and sent large, exploding barrages of Lightning bolts, just like his time on Kashyyyk when he battled Captain Ozzik. As Vader took a step back, Galen returned his saber to his hand and twisted in mid-air, landing behind Vader. Before the Dark Lord had enough time to turn, Marek utilized Sith Slam, sending Vader crashing headfirst nearby.
As Maul got up, Savage already came back with assaults. To Maul, they were too fancy. In strongness and yet simplicity, he used his heightened senses to detect where Opress's saber was vulnerable. He sliced it in half and kicked one of the halves to the side. In a counter, Opress utilized a heavy, untrained attack Maul, backing him up. As Opress began trying to hit each side of Maul downwardly, Maul dodged them simply by stepping to each side and eventually cut Opress down while he was unfocused.
As Dooku difficultly defended himself from Palpatine's fatal blows and impossibly impressive maneuvers, he decided to be of actual use. He leaped past Palpatine's head from afar and assisted Marek in holding Vader off. Palpatine and Maul grouped up and rushed forward, but it was too late. Dooku and Marek quickly overwhelmed Vader, who had only one trained style to use, finding it hard to defend himself against the trained Sith. It resulted in his damaged hand hacked off, and Marek saber locked him while Dooku cut him down from behind.
As the wary Dooku quickly focused to regain strength, Maul and Palpatine lunged forward. He was saved by Marek's blast of Force Push, which sent Maul flying away and causing Palpatine to stumble. Galen dashed forward threateningly, but was countered by Palpatine's blade, swiping in mid-air. He quickly ducked and shifted to an unreversed grip, and he turned while crouched as well, using the same mid-air swiping attack Palpatine had used to destroy one of his sabers. The two began engaging in fast assaults. While Palpatine focused on speed and stamina, Marek went forward at Palpatine with his backhand position, defending his back in spins and returning fatal blows at the same time.
Dooku engaged Maul directly, using fast strokes that displayed years of developed skill. Eventually, he forced Maul's arms up while they were saber lock, and he quickly kicked the Dathomirian Zabrak down. He continuously struck the floored menace in fatal ways until he was disarmed.
Palpatine utilized one-armed saber tactics and eventually managed force Marek's saber down while they were locked. Kicking Marek down, he turned and sent a bolt of lightning at Dooku's back. As Dooku stumbled and nearly fell on Maul, the Sith Lord quickly regained his lightsaber and impaled Dooku through his abdomen before he fell.
As Marek got back up and faced Palpatine once again, he kicked him away, returning the attack, and saw Maul with two lightsabers in a trained Jar'Kai stance heading their way. Quickly, while Palpatine was staggered, he Force pulled him back and then bounced him away with amplified Force strength. He was sent crashing into Maul. Marek quickly ran and used the tactics the once-fallen Hero of Tython used against droids in training. He turned to his side, leaped side ways while twisting, and turned, quickly striking Maul down.
He hurled Maul's corpse at Palpatine and sent the Emperor down as well. Quickly, he grabbed Dooku's much more functional saber and leaped in the air--he was going to bring his sabers down on Palpatine. In a final, desperate attempt of survival, Palpatine sent lightning at the Sith Stalker. As Galen blocked the lightning strongly with one blade, he shifted the other to a backhand style. As he landed on top of Palpatine, the backhand blade impaled the Sith to death.

Sybrael, I ones, also, made scenario of a fight in similar fashion. And your name ends like mine. We could be brothers!

It is indeed not extreme. It's just people think that, if a fight lasts very short time, then there is significant difference in skill. But in fact well executed technique/mistake can occur at any time during the fight. Also, Maul won by executing grappling technique with joint lock, which is not common at all in lightsaber combat. Similarly Kenobi and Ventress couldn't do anything to Opress with lightsaber, yet, their kicks and punches went through quite well, which implies his weakness in unarmed combat.

Also Maul didn't immediately challenge Opress for Mastership as soon as he was restored by Mother Talzin.
He waited. He must have studied Opress's moves, strengths and weaknesses first. And then he brought up the challenge for mastership.
Sybrael
Arhael, I really gotta mention this--I'm a girl.
Sybrael
Newguy, you never paid attention to the TFU canon--Galen beat Palpatine just by using Force push.
