"Only a fully trained Jedi Knight with the Force as his ally will conquer Vader and his Emperor."
-Master Yoda, Return of the Jedi.

Out of all the Jedi in history, only one can possibly do this task, The Chosen One's son himself. Now I'm going to use Statistical Mathematics based off Lucas quotes to solve this one. If you can contradict any of the quotes, please speak up.

"Anakin wasn't what he was supposed to become. But the son could become that."
―George Lucas

In the Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back Director's Commentary, it was stated that Luke is said to represent Anakin's full force potential. With this being said it was also stated:

"However, after all of his limbs were severed and he was extremely burned on Mustafar he lost much of his Force potential. As Darth Vader, Skywalker was believed to have had roughly 80% of the strength of the Emperor. Had he sustained none of his injuries on Mustafar he would have been twice as powerful."
―George Lucas

Okay so we got that:
Anakin Skywalker (Prime) is 200% of Palpatine's Power
Luke Skywalker (Prime)=Anakin Skywalker (Potential)

Okay so, with Luke being the strength of two Palpatines based on Lucas, how much would Vader then aid? It's stated above hes 80% of the Emperor, so let's subtract that from the total 200% and get that Luke is 120% of Palpatine & Vader's power. Make sense?

Now we know that Luke would win, or atleast according to the math, so how badly would Luke win that? Well the answer lays in that extra 20% more then Palpatine's 100%. That 20% is the distance between Vader and Palpatine's power, which is atleast a good tier or two. 20% is also the distance statistically between Luke (Prime) and Palpatine & Vader combined.

So hypothetically, Luke beats the two Sith with the same difficulty as Palpatine would beat Vader. Now obviously there will be some contractions, especially in that between Luke and Anakin, but honestly going by Lucas quotes, I think it's fair to say Luke wins.

Obviously we can go instead feat/accolade/accomplishment/ability wise instead, and we might get a different answer.

Man, this quote makes their plan look even stupider. Why did they barely train Luke again?

Nephthys
Yeah.

Now imagine how good he'd have been if they trained him from day one.

DarthAnt66
I agree, but its safe to say he's close to it. I believe a year afterwards, in Crucible by Troy Denning, it was stated on the back cover that "Luke's on his final mission", or something like that.

"At this point, Vader's plan, now that he knows Luke is his son, is to convince him to come with him and join the dark side, and together they're going to overthrow the Emperor, which is the thematic device used through the whole movies, in terms of Sith, which is if you have Sith Lords, there's usually no more than two, because if there's three, then two of them will gang up on one of them, and try to become the dominant Sith. Anakin would have been able to do it, if he hadn't been debilitated, and now he's half-machine and half-man, so he's lost alot of the power of the Force, and lost a lot of visibility to be more powerful than the Emperor. But Luke has it, Luke is Vader's hope."

Mmyeah that quote's a fake. Still, there is a canon quote that says basically the same thing, except there's a few key words that could put this point up for argument.

Who care if he said it or not, George can be so fickle it's insane.

ROTJ Vader
Luke wins.

Electric judgment = dead Vader.

Then Luke beats Palpatine.

Vader does have energy absorption. Remember how he palmed blaster bolts.

And lightsabers can block that kind of thing too.

Now, obviously, he can fall to lightning, but it's not *that* easy.

XSUPREMEXSKILLZ
Yes, but his lightning has insta-killed (force immune?) vong slayers with it. The lightning is incredibly powerful.
