Mamoru Hijikata is a swordsman looking for a good fight and a nice bout of bloodshed to calm his nerves when he runs across a girl being chased down by yakuza. Not one to waste a chance to sharpen his skills on some low-life scum he makes short work of the yakuza, horribly mutilating them and beating them bloody, and in turn saves the girl.

The strangest thing is Haruka, that girl, wants to follow him "until death doth them part." It turns out she has a special gift. A gift to see what is likely to come in the future. A gift of precognition. Now under Mamoru's and his partner Igawa's protection they are thrust into into an untold amount of subterfuge and violence as they keep her safe. The world would kill for a power like Haruka's. Men and countries, politicians and corrupt CEOs, warring anarchists, and any thug looking for a quick buck. It's just not a kind place for someone who has something everyone wants.

That's just fine though. Mamoru loves a good fight. He will make sure they remember his name. He is Blade, the Demon Swordsman. Their arms will become his, their legs, and their fingers; he will take from them for everything they are worth and leave them to rot in the mud. Those who would hunt Haruka would be crippled and praying for a release.

A release that will never come.

Now that's a good manga. I really do hope that they will make an anime from this because the story is awesome. Mamoru is like the modern day Zatoichi; he's blind but has advance optical technology that allows him to see x-rayed images. He's a really great character, even the sword is reminiscent to Zatoichi's.

Not to mention that the art and the faces the characters make are amazing.
