Early New jedi order luke VS Orbalisk Bane

This is early NJO? So a bit after Jedi Academy and Dark Empire, then. I'd grant the win to Bane.

Luke, definitely. By the time he's running a full order, he's too strong for Bane.

Early NJO Luke is actually weak, much weaker than in DE. While his saber skills always remained sharp, towards NJO period he was mostly avoiding using Force and as result his fitness declined. It can be observed when he got exhausted after quick fight with 3 Vongs despite minimal use of Force. He got back into shape only later throughout the war.

Where does Luke gain the strength to stop Bane's muscular overhands?
