Is there a strike team that can defeat Luke as of FOTJ that doesn't include Sidious, yoda, jacen solo.

This is a pure lightsaber battle. Is there any strike team made up of 3 member that can defeat Luke in a pure lightsaber duel on neutral ground. Who are they.

Jaina+Mace have got this, unless Luke decides to have a oneness moment.

Jaina and Mace aren't enough. He didn't mention Plagueis, though, so you can throw him in for a 3rd. Should give Luke a hard fight.

Tulak Hord, Orb Bane and Plagueis.

Mendor Typhoons solos tbh.

As for the fight. I'm going with Darth Vader in full kill mode, Anakin Skywalker ROTS and FE Malgus. If morals are on DV and Annie will mess with Luke and Malgus is there for back up.

Why 3?

Strike Teams are normally 4-5 members.

The Tython Strike Team after Bane and Zannah was 5.

The Revan Strike Team that first took him down was 4~ members plus some troopers.

The Palpatine Arrest squad was 4.

The Krayt strike team was initially 5 (they picked up Celeste Morne on the way, but began with Cade, Shado, Draco, Ganner, and Azlyn Rae).

I've seen three in a few threads recently, but I can't recall a single three-person team used when going after a strong target in canon. Sometimes a duo if the duo is strong master/apprentice, but then it tends to jump to at least 4.


Like, if Luke went rogue in his own time, I'd expect the team against him to include Jaina, Kyle, Sabatyne, and Kyp. Plus possibly a battle meditator like Cilghal (one could put in Leia, but that seems like a big risk to me).

Morals probably aren't on.

If they were, I'd send Leia, Mara, and Ben Skywalker after him. :P

Hord is virtually all hype. Bane gets blitzed. And Plagueis lacks saber feats to say he's approaching Luke level.

How did I know that was the response that would be attacked? Oh yeah, because the username has "Neph" in it, and the response has "Bane" in it.

4 or 5 is serious overkill. We're choosing from the best duelists in history here. 3 top class duelists is enough to be fair.

Nah. Vapaad doesn't work on Luke, Dooku will tire, and Kun's trickery won't save him.

Mace has a few statements about him being second to Yoda in combative ability in the PT order, and among the other Jedi, only Yoda or Dooku overcame him in a duel. Windu doesn't need a Vaapad amp from a dark side opponent to be a tremendously skilled duelist.

He does against a guy stronger then ROTS Sidious...and indeed, stronger then DE Sidious. The only reason Mace was able to do as well as he did in the last battle of his life was by Dark Side Channeling.

Well he's got Kun and Dooku here to help him, and also has them to draw off of as far as the whole Vaapad dark side loop goes.

Eh, if we're talking 3, and sabers only, and picking from across eras, we're already getting into overkill levels.

I'm just saying we need some proper strike team threads, not this trio business.
