HI EVERYONE, last week i bought the PS2 game Enter the Matrix after seeing Matrix reloaded and since then i have completed the game with ghost on easy and am in the process of doing the same with niobe. I have unlocked multiplayer which i noticed with despair that this doesn't include neo does anyone know how to get NEO in enter the matrix (if you can)?

Secondly i would like to know if you can download new moves for enter the matrix through HACKING, in PS2 official magazine it said you were able to. I am confused. CAN ANY1 HELP?

I rented the game the first day and looked for codes to be neo. And there were codes but they didnt work when i typed them in. I guess it is possible to unlock him after you beat the enitire game on easy,medium,and hard.

i hear that you can play with neo on the pc version but it involves moving files and isn't a code like 4520sd22df3

i don't HAVE it. I played it at a friend. But i didn't know it has multiplayer. Duel game..so can you play against other persons also? or simple bots. Cuz i don't see how they can syncronise that bullet time for both players.
I assume each charater has different moves, so neo might be a bit unfair against others.

No focus in multi-play either. It's very basic- it is only an extra, after all.

erm, the matrix game is ok, I love the fighting, but the level design is so half-arsed!

and another thing, I'm running it on an XP2700+ Athlon, 512mb DDR PC2700 RAM, and a Geforce4 MX440, which isn't too bad, but wtf is up with the graphics? i keep getting clipping errors, and the crock-skin on niobi looks patchy! Help!

The only way to get neo is on the PC version through changing Niobe/Ghost's skin to that of neo's. This involves messing about with files.

Secondly when yiu have the multiplayer on, make sure you have two controllers in the ports. Load up a game until you see the levels and scroll to the far left, it should come up 'Multiplayer' and a list of places to fight. There are certain characters for certain areas - eg the subway is Player 1; Morpheous, Player 2; Agent Smith. There are even two cars having a fight, its sooo funny when they do cartwheels!
The multiplayer is a good concept - maybe a future game?

i have become very good at hacking in the game. i read on the game it says to go to the website and use the code given(23631BE6).so,i went onto the website and didintfind a place to put it in...but later i got on it again and found a small button in the top right corner wich took me to access panels. it took a while but i finally got to a point where i could put in the password from the game. i put it in and it said "data not yet compiled".the people who run the website have not finished it yet...maybe it will tell how to get neo? has anybody else hacked that far?if so then reply.

Sorry to say this people, but, in truth you can not and never will be able to play as Neo. This is mainly because of certain disputes between the creators of the game and the movie. There are also some legal matters that I don't quite understand myself but oh well. Again, sorry for the bad news.

dudes, i kid you not there is a way to do it, and it is just moments before i find out how, i think i will get it tomorrow. My buddy has done it on ps2 this is how i know it works. He is going to write it all down for me, i guess the code that is easy to find that doesnt work is what you hafta enter later on in the hacking process. So we will see if it works in the near future!

in the game go into hacking. decode dbiuhu7xdtsmzyo and it writes neo unlocked and you will hear "you have access". the only problem is i dont know where to find him so if any of you find him let everyone know.

we are getting closer this is wonderfull, haha.

in the hacking engine, make sure you have unlocked B:>Tools and type VIEW and press enter. VIEW should come up under the list of commands. Select it and a list of pictures should come up. Neo should be one of them.

I just found out about 2 new codes that are supposed to unlock neo. i have not tried them so i do not know if they work but here they are

There's also a way to get a samurai sword if ya don't know. This is how
(p.s you have to have beaten the game as both niobe and ghost) Swordfight:
To unlock the swordfight, follow these steps. Open the Hacking program from the main menu. Open a file that has the game completed. Note: You must have completed the game first in order for this cheat to work; and the game file you select at the Hacking menu must have the game completed. Type LOGIN and press Enter. Type GUEST and press Enter. Type DIR, then a space. DIR should now appear in your command list. Access the B Drive through the DIR command. Select TOOLS from the B Drive. It will be locked and will ask you for an access code. The access code consists of 1s and 0s. You must guess the access code, as it is different each time. It is only five digits long. Once you have access to the TOOLS on the B Drive, type all the .EXE files (without the .EXE after them). For example, type DECODE then a space. DECODE will now appear in the command list. Repeat this for all other .EXE files in the TOOLS folder in the B Drive. Now, access VIRTUAL on your command list. Type in FROZENFISH as the password. An authentication test will start. An image of a Chinese symbol will appear, but it will be scrambled. The image is broken into 9 squares, and each square will have five different choices. You must change all the pieces so that a complete image appears. You have a limited amount of time to do this. Once you guess a correct image, the timer will stop and you will be taken back to the hacking screen. Look at the top of the screen. If it says "Solution: Blue", then the line will be traced and you will have to enter TRACEKILL and then press enter as fast as possible or all progress will be lost. Once you enter TRACEKILL, you will have to start back at accessing VIRTUAL on your command list. However, if it says "Solution: Red", then you will hear a message from Neo and get access to the V Drive. Open the V Drive and get all the commands from the TOOLS folder on your command list. Open the ROOTSEARCH program. Now, open the ROOT folder in the B Drive and get the two commands there on your command list. Enter the MAIL command and type THISISNOTREAL as the password and type YES. You will get a list of phone numbers:

It should look like this: "CRACK 8RAM". You now have access to the RAM drive. Go to DIR on your command list and access the RAM drive. A list of folder names will appear. Open the TRINITY folder. Get the Training command on your DIR by typing TRAINING then a space. Go to your command list and select TRAINING. On you command list, a file called SWORD.DSK will come up. Select it. It has now uploaded the sword onto you character in the Matrix. Quit the hacking program and select "Save Progress". You can use the sword when you start that game file. It can be used in any stage, but will only a[[ear when fighting enemies by pressing Punch + Kick. You have to enter it again when you turn off the game. Go to the Hacking program, select that file again, select TRAINING, then SWORD.DSK.

Someone showed me deep into the matrix site and we found this page that had a door which said 'data not yet compiled' we think that when this door is 'compiled' that it will show us how to unlock neo... or at least we hope!

Listen FATMANISFAT, i don't think these people appreciate your attitude towards getting neo, and i personally feel you have something shoved way to far up your ass. The developers of the game have obviously included some way to get neo. If you would care to type DECODE dbiuhu7xdtsmzyo into the hacking engine, you would see that it says NEO UNLOCKED and a voice says
"YOU HAVE ACCESS". this must just be the first part of getting neo, but no-one has got any further.

Please JGANZ, if you have read this, i ask you to tell us how to get neo. you said your friend had done it and that he was going to tell you how to do it. so please enlighten us. thankyou

ok, i do not believe that you can play as neo... but... i have the pc version of the game and if you take a look at the game files you see neo.dcx and if you rename this and overwrite ghosts data then you can play as neo. This was not the intentention of the creators of the game, but the file must be there for some reason. there is also a model for morpheus. The pictures that are in the game(view command) have nothing to whit this...
So i don't think you can play as neo... for now
and then I have a question about the movies in the game...
Icompleted the whole game on hard, I finished the hacking game and i have the sword, but there a still a few movies that are locked...
are this the movies from the other charachter ( thats what i think ) or are there some hidden movies in the game?

Okay. I am new to these boards and thought this would be an excellent opportunity to share what I have gathered. I am a big fan of the Matrix series and had an excellent time playing through the game. I too want to see Neo as a playable character. So here goes.

Most of us seem to have a common misconception about the decoding. I read this somewhere else, I take no credit for it. It seemed to make sense.

Do you know about the Echo feature of hacking? If not, here is what it is. You type something in and it spits it right back out at you. Here's what it looks like:

That's all it does. Somebody figured out the code that the Decoder uses and encoded "Neo Unlocked". I believe the PAL PS2 version has this capability. Anything that says something like Neo in it gives the message "valid code" or whatever and then the voice with the whole "acess granted" thing. Foregive me if I got those quotes wrong. Then it spits out what was encoded, now decoded.

Don't get all hyper on me if I got that wrong. It made sense to me. Unfortunately, I don't know the encryption, so I can't test this. It looks like we will have to keep looking.

As for the off-topic subject of multiplayer, I do not believe it exists on the PC version of this game. How would they do that? Internet connection? If there was a connection involved there would need to be servers and it would be a much bigger to-do. I believe it only exists on the console versions.

Hopefully Shiny will leek out some more codes, one of them for Neo.

If any of you want to check out the boards at gamefaqs.com , some people seem to be getting close there as well. Though it would be safe to note that there are many flamers and skeptics - more of these unhelpful people than those actually motivated. This is a great gaming site if you are ever stuck or want a cheat code.

When you click Post Reply, there should be a button that says Attatch File. Assuming you saved it to your hard drive, click Browse and search your computer for where you saved it. If all goes well it should work.

3)when the screen comes up where u pick the level to start keep pressing LEFT
4) there will be a multiplayer option and it willl have different levels to choose from

I found some pics on the gamefaqs message board for PC. They were done by renaming model filenames. If you want more details, post! Hopefully, these pics will fuel the dying cause of finding Neo for the consols. Post if you want more info. It will be hard because I can't post links yet.

I am truely convinced there is a way to unlock Neo. Has anyone tried the Atari hint hotline? It is on the technical support website. Maybe then they will say the code!

Also, the Neo model file was hanging around on the PC game's directory, so there is a good chance it is also on the consoles'. I personally have GameCube. Maybe Action Replay can rename the files or something? I'm not exactly sure how Action Replay works though. It's worth a try!

there might have been a thread in there for ps2, but again, this would mean you need a dvd burner and its just modifying files, just change the neo skins to all the above named ghost skins, or download neo skins somewhere and bam, just reord the ps2 dvd, and play in your moded ps2

Didn't you read any of the previous posts? I EXPLICITLY grounded the Decode DBIUHU7XDTSMZYO thing. If this is a true code, where do you go after that?

I really don't want to reiterate myself, but here's the one sentence synopsis:

DECODE = ECHO

but in code. Someone figures out that DBIUHU7XDTSMZYO decodes into NEO UNLOCKED, so it "decodes" it, hence the name "decode." Then decoded it says that Neo is unlocked, getting everyone hyper posting on the web without actually seeing that NEO IS STILL LOCKED!

For the consoles, the multiplayer code is D5C55D1E. I do not believe there is multiplayer for the PC. To "work with it," you need to load the file you hacked into and scroll all the way left as if you were selecting a previous level. You will get a list: Subway, Dojo, etc. These are multiplayer maps. Make sure 2 controllers are plugged in first. Hey, this is off topic, isn't it. Oh well. The match is preset. For example, Subway is always Morpheus vs. Agent Smith. Dojo is always Niobe vs. Trinity. etc etc etc. Also, there is no Focus.

No one knows yet how to play as Neo on the consoles. On the PC you can swap files to get him. Post if you want more details.

P.S. Multiplayer can also be unlocked by "completing" hacking. Sparks says something about a surprise and it gets unlocked the real way. I still have the V:/ virtual drive to hack into.

ummmmm yeah ive unlocked the multiplayer thing on the matrix game but why does only the one player person move and not the second i can do its moves but not move forward or anything

Wierd! You have two controllers plugged in and everything? You shouldn't touch the control stick while it's loading. On GCN you can reset the orientation by holding down Y, X, and Start. Just a thought...

it will only work with 2 dual shock 2 controllers, unless you use the gameshark. If you do the controller swap thing, put dual shock into controller port 2 and psx controller in port one, it will be there but you cant move. With gameshark, it will be there and you will be able to beat up an inanimate player, which is lame but at least you can see the other characters. hope this helps

im searching through the movie now for secrets, they said on every billboard there is a code or cheat of some sort, Ive also tried inputing some of the codes they put on there computers in the matrix reloaded but nothing yet, im gonna find something people, dont know what though, lol

"i played as neo, for about 4-5 minutes. this is not a joke. i was playing on gamecube. believe it or not. this is how i did it. i was playing sparks' training construct and then got to the scenario 2 without getting niobe but i had ghost, still, but now in his black leather trench coat. i thought to myself, what the... so i kept on going. i went back to the ring where u have the two lights, green and red. i did the green one and finished it successfully within three minutes and i got 52. not to bad is what i thought to myself. then the screen faded out when my time had expired and i couldnt see myself well, because of the lighting, but when i got out of that room and it asked me to save i knew i looked taller, alot. so i went into the light and good sweet lord there he was, in all of his glory, neo. i maded him back up against the wall, for i thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. i dont exactly how i could have accessed neo, except that i tried the time lock idea and entered the neo unlocked decode and entered the neo cheat, although it didnt register. this is what really bugs me though. i went into the large room with the ballards and the unarmed swat men and i beat up on a couple of them, and may i tell you his moves are sick, they are very calm and cool, and very strong, very very strong. but then when i saw a guy start shooting at me i hit the action button (z) and his hand raised as if to stop some bullets but then the game froze up and at the top of the screen it said exception 2 and a whole bunch of letters and numbers. i dont understand, has this happened to anybody else? "

Now, I want to take a moment to express a complaint about something in the pictures, though. The pictures were gained by copying Neo's skin onto Ghosts frame, right? Well, I for one hope that what I can plainly see in those pics isn't true of the REAL Neo in the game. A glaring detail error in those pics is what appears to be a huge part in the back of Neo's coat. It is in the pic with him and Trinity and both of the one's with Seraph. As anyone who has seen "Reloaded" can attest, the coat HAS NO part!!!! In that Seraph pic he looks like he's wearing gigantic rodeo pants. I dunno, I hope that's just a glitch or something.

matrixmaster, I love the description you got there....that sounds AWESOME!!!!! Neo has his own graceful form and moves!!!! I was hoping that they put a lot of thought into his gameplay ability. ive been lookin at this forum lately its got some really good ideas about neo, i havent had a chance 2 try them out yet but i hope they work , my goal is , of course, TO PLAY AS NEO, the closest thing i have seen of neo is the view.exe program u can run in hacking and u type neo.img, i hope the theroy that was put forward b4 by "matrixmaster" about getting neo through sparks construct actualy works, i hope someone can confirm this. anyway good onya for findin that out.

Alright here's what I got (All of it comes from the official strategy guide for enter the matrix). It is by no means direct or conclusive be here is word for word the relevant passages. Anytime I found out more I'll let you all know. Another important note: the strategy guide doesn't say wether this information is for console or PC exclusively so keep this in mind. In the section gliteches in the matrix, there are a bunch of codes some of which can be revealed to be phone numbers or other stuff after you use the decode program on them. I haven't gotten all of them to work, but I'll include the list of codes in the section "Glitches in the
Matrix".

Hacking secrets exposed
The hacking system extends far beyond the material covered earlier in this book (just how to use commands and stuff). Those who have journeyed to the bottom of the rabbit hole know the gifts that lie in store for the savvy hacker. Those who were unable to tumble far enough are about to be led in the right direction. This section picks up where the Hacking Chapter left off and provides instruction on unlockin the game's ECHUMXBIA0EF and HBJQEQLLBFZA0U features, amoing other things.

Accessing the EABXSXAMA7EUNGD
The first step to unlocking the hidden fruit of the hacking system is to pass the security check on the EABXSXAMA7EUNGD. Enter the password obtained from the files in the AText folder. Once the password's entered correctly the use needs to succesfully complete the authentication test. There are two answeres to this puzzle: a red and a blue one.

Those who choose the DAEIPXP7CXBWZJNB will receive an alert message from Neo. The line has been traced and the conncetion will be terminated if BBGUNSKLPKZP isn't executed immediately!

Entering the DCAY0E7VDSZZCK0 succesully completes the authentication and grants access to the EABXSXAMA7EUNGD. It contains just two folders, one of which is the invaluable JBEDYPH folder.

Accesing the EBETIN7ESSH0
View the directory of this drive's contents and pay special attention to the JBEDYPH fodler. Obtain the DAEYSRE7KMCKT password and use it to explore the newly created folder Check to see if there is any email and if so, put its information to use with the BADEKEA program. Retreive the information from Trinity and use it to run the EABRSSXQQN executable.

Run the downloaded program with the code 8RAN as instructed. This will allow the user to browse the contents of the EBETIN7ESSHO

That's all I have that would be relevant (the rest is how to beat the normal levels nothing interesting). I haven't beat the game yet, I'm working on Spark's contruct program (PC version) so once I beat it I'll let you know what the multiplayer feature entails. This section that I copied strongly suggests that you can play as Morpheus, Trinity, Smith and whoever was listed in the multiplayer sequence.

Hang on, that's just all the easy stuff that has already been listed here but with fancy codes instead of simply saying what it is- going through unlocking the drives and getting the sword, before unlocking multiplayer in the consoles by going through Spark's EMP routine.

This doesn't help anyone get Neo, if it is possible.

Incidentally, last I checked entering that code at the Matrix website still gets you a 'data not compiled' message. Darn.

Yeah I noticed that much of it was the easy part, but some of it doesn't appear to correspond to any of the basic hacking portions. That plus all the codes, I figure that somebody might be able to decipher it. I just copied everything word for word to make sure that nothing was left out.
