The Eternal Alliance supporting the Republic makes a shit ton of sense, even ignoring the general consensus that the Hero of Tython is the Outlander, given we know the Sith Empire does eventually collapse.

It's not what Lana wants though. And we know the EA collapses as well.

The EA collapsing isn't a surprise given the soldiers are comprised of Republic and Sith soldiers.

With the Republic growing in power, soldiers are going to be joining back with the Republic.

Conversely, EA Sith soldiers might be dropping out of the EA after orders to fight the Empire.
