Should Snoke attempted to tempt/seduce/corrupt Rey?

perhaps by ordering Kylo to engage Rey?

for the hero journey motiff to be present here, the hero Rey has to be tempted by the evil wizzard.

Snoke never tempted Rey with promise of power in the dark side, never encouraged her to use her hatred and anger and tap into the dark side

anakin was tempted and fell
luke was tempted and passed

both by sidious

rey wasn't tempted by snoke

snoke never offered rey power in exchange to be his apprentice

what i have in mind is that snoke orders kylo to kill rey

rey then picks up a light saber and fights kylo besting him again

snoke says to rey to kill kylo and rey refuses

at this point the scene progresses like Last Jedi with snoke overpowering rey

The way of the dark side is to see who is more powerful to seek that more powerful apprentice.

If Rey bests Kylo in combat which has done in TFA, he has every reason to replace kylo

That's the way of the Sith and Snoke is no Sith. For example, the nightsisters are also darksiders and don't seem to follow this principle. Regardless, as I mentioned previously, Rey is not more powerful. They mention this twice in the movie in fact. The two are equal when it comes to potential. Kylo only lost in TFA because of the circumstances of the fight.

early in the movie snoke was highly displeased that kylo lost to a girl who never held a lightsaber

if i were writing the script i would have snoke say we must test the limits of just how powerful rey is by having rey fight kylo again
