I know Bothans appeared frequently in Legened and were pretty well defined as a civilization, but has any information about them been revealed in canon?

Are they still fur covered mammalians or are they something else completely?

I think in canon they were only mentioned in Rotj by Mon mothma

They were briefly mentioned in Bloodline:


But yeah... I think that's about it in canon.
