1980- If you actually read Xmen avidly you'd know that after saving the multiverse, with her phoenix work done Jean placed psychic circuit breakers on her power to limit it to appropriate levels for earth. Leaving her as just a powerful mutant with limits and energy requirements. Masterminds tamperings of Jeans mind lead to the psychic circuit breakers slow unravelling. After Jean defeated the Xmen after being corrupted she she flew into space hungry for sustenance admitting that in her present state her powers were limited. Jean said this as she had just left earth and it was at that moment that her power was sensed all across teh globe by Strange , Reed and Prof X. Reed then said at that point her power rivalled Galactus'. She went on to consume a star. The point is it is a fact that she had these self imposed limitations placed on her power, yet she was still at Galactus level when the breakers began to unravel and then she went on to consume a star. Dismissed.


1986- Phoenix becomes a seperate entity from Jean it isnt her evolved state. A retcon which is now abolished.




1989- No need to comment on a what if. Explained away by recent retcon. Just a shard of Jeans essence which was all Rachel had with her not being a true avatar.

1990's- Rachel calls on Phoenix and asks it to reveal its true form. It does. It appears to her as a golden Jean Grey. (See below)


1994- Phoenix only being capable of preventing the multiversal threat(so falls under Lt's jurisdiction but he doesnt have the juice) taht is the M'kraan crystal


2001- Phoenix is the ultimate potential that all humanity will evolve into. (First signs that the crappy 86 retcon was being discontinued) Phoenixes power shown to be enough to humble LT.(The only instance their power has been measured against each others and he's found wanting)




2003- Phoenix is Jean. Its her evolved state again. Through Phoenix Jean has telekinetic godhood. Power over all creation down to the molecular level.

In Endsong the rampant powerful entity which was made out to be "The phoenix force" gone mad was in fact a shard of Jean greys psychic essence which had been interrupted by the Shi'ar while it was enroute to the white hot room after her death in New Xmen, trying to join with the rest of her essence so that Jean could reform in the white hot room. It is confirmed that Jean is Phoenix and phoenix is jean.

BTW, GS...you have mentioned before that the PF was responsible for saving Galen and transforming him into Galactus, (even when it was clearly shown that Eternity was the one who did it), and I've asked you a couple of times to provide the source for this. You've said X-Men Adventures 12 (or something)...but what year was that done?
