I can not wait for this game, Resident Evil 4 is still my game of the year. Im glad that they may finally close the original story.

Will it take as much time as Resi 4 to complete? 3-4 years?

Man I hope not. But for RE4 they kept trying to find that new style, I know they went through atleast a couple completely different games. Now they have that base style and can work from there.


I would expect it sometime next year, though I would love for it to make the holdays for 360, but it wont.

looks fun.. and I doubt they will make this the closing title.. as they invented the survival horror genre.. with new hardware coming out they can explore this genre in ways never before possible

They dont have to end the series, but just finish off that original never ending storyline. If they include Chris Redfield I think they will do that, its apparent from RE4 they can continue the story without the main Umbrella/Wesker storyline(though that was in the game towards the end).

I'm so glad my friend showed me these 2 pages over AIM last night, because I CANNOT stand Chris Redfield for some reason, I just think he's so damn annoying. I admit I paid $50 for Resident Evil on my GameCube to play Jill's game 15 times, and Chris' once, I think Chris sucks completely, and Jill is completely worth more then $50 to just be Jilly!

So since it looks like we have Billy on our hands, this could turn into another incredible game, like the original trilogy, and RE4.

Billy is one of my favorite characters behind Leon(cuz of 4).

I'm all for a new character (or a charcter we don't know much about).

I love the 28 Days Later vibe. It should be even more nerve racking than in 4, especially if they keep running when they get close.

I loved how the first have of the trailer teased the old school style, then the enemies(zombies?) started running.

Something I just realised....

Capcom is working on a survival horror game called Dead Rising for the 360, a shot of the game shows the lead character standing on a truck in a tunnel filled with hundreds of zombies.

I know that is a different game, but given that it is done by Capcom, some of that stuff may find its way to RE5.
